Caller ID Does Not Work!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been an coma customer since 2008. I bought my original hub and scout from BestBuy and never had a single problem with it. I decided it was time to move up to the Telo system since it had supposedly better connectivity to faxes, etc. Mind you when I disconnected the old Hub it was still working perfectly. I connected the new Telo and it took more than three days for them to transfer my account to my new Telo, how's that for a loyal customer service! The following day my caller ID stopped working for the Telo. I called Saturday and after doing stupid tests which I knew were a waste of time, they told me they would contact Engineering and they would call me back in 24 to 36 hours! I called after 36 hours since they never called back! I wanted to talk to somebody in engineering. They said that it wasn't possible and level 3 support told me that she would call me back after she spoke to them. She did call back later that day to finally let me know that there's a firmware problem that is being worked on by engineering. That they would have fix by the end of the week or the beginning of next week. Today is Thursday, if they don't solve the problem by next Tuesday I will return the unit to Best buy and get my money back and subscribe to Time Warner phone. Their international rates are cheaper. I should also mention that the speaker on the new Telo is not loud enough to screen calls. At its loudest setting the voices break up and are hard to understand.

Follow-up review on Ooma Telo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Ooma Telo in November 2014, and it has been working well for over 3 and a half years now. I have saved a lot of money, and 10 months ago I purchased an Ooma home security motion sensor for $35, which also works quite well with the Telo. I estimate that I have saved over $1200.00 with the Telo alone, and about $300.00 on the security device so far. I have recommended these devices to friends and family, and they have have saved money as well. I highly recommend Ooma products.

Great service, HELL TO CANCEL
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used Ooma for years and was very pleased with it. Nomorobo is an absolute game. changer. and I had no robocalls for the whole time I used Ooma. However. I moved to a place where I can't use VoIP. Cancelling it was the nightmare. The first time I called to cancel it, the agent was so hard to understand that I apparently agreed to just downgrade the service I can't use. That's not what I remember, but it's what's in their notes. The second time I called to cancel it, having explained in great detail at least five times why I was doing so, the agent tried to following to keep my account: 1. patching me through to the first agent...why? He wasn't available, but that shouldn't have even been on the table in the first place. JUST CANCEL MY SERVICE. 2. offering me free downgraded service...that I can't use. PLEASE JUST CANCEL MY SERVICE. 3. offering me a free device...that I can't use. PLEASE JUST CANCEL MY SERVICE. It ultimately took more than an hour over two phone calls to just...cancel my service.

Unreliable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading the reviews I bought 2 of these, one for home and one for work. I have the premium package for work with call block, call forwarding and other great features. It would be great if all these features were reliable though. I just cancel my service less than a year later because I was tired to call almost every day for them to fix my problems. Static on the line, phone rings once and then stops, call forwarding works 2-3 days a week only or people that call me get a message "phone number no longer in service". Their answer when you call their support always the same......we will escalate your case to higher support, here's your ticket number. Business phone is very important and has to work all the time not sometimes so I switched to a real phone company. Also, the day they were transferring my number when I first got my device I was told it takes 2-3 minutes.Long story short, I was without phone in my business for 3 days! If you are thinking buying this for a business solution consider your self lucky reading this.

Great Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The set up guide was very easy to follow and it only took less than an hour to connect and activate my device with Ooma. The calls are very clear. So far I am very happy with my product and service with Ooma. Goodbye landline and the high monthly bill that comes along with it.

Does what is expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took longer to take the product out of the box than to install it. Once hooked up it took about three minutes to download updated software. Then had to log on to get telephone number. Web site walks you through setting up the system but somewhat lacks explanations as to what happens if you do this or that. Minor problem. Works well once installed. $39 to transfer old number seem a little high?

The Telo is Modern
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Telo by Ooma. I had the Hub previously and liked it. I do miss the Hub however. You could walk in the room and see a red light flashing and know you had a message. With the Telo it's a yellow arrow (small) and you have to get practically right on top of it to see it.

Free* and great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.*you still have to pay local taxes which equate to a few dollars per month. I pay 3.60 per month in local fees (such as 911 and taxes). But for the price, you can FAX, Call international for cheap (load up a prepaid account), and enjoy Free* USA and canada calls.

Got Ooma to replace Magic Jack that never worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a magic jack 4 months ago, and immediately started getting dropped calls with it. Despite numerous calls to MJ tech support, they were never able to solve the problem, which they said was a known problem with their equipment. Got tired of calls dropping after 4-5 minutes, so I decided to get rid of the MJ abd replace it with an OOMA. Setting up the OOMA was a breeze, it works perfectly and I have made many calls with it lasting almost 20 minutes each, and not one problem with anything including dropped calls. Don't waste your money with magic Jack, spend a few more dollars and buy something that works.
