Love still having the "landline" and this is the best option. Nice to have the backup to my mobile device. Pretty much pays for itself in 3-5 months with thatcjust dependent on whether you want to keep an existing number or just get a brand new number assigned. Super easy to setup and connecr.

Easy to connect. And will pay for itself in the first 2 months then the savings really start. I was a little hesitate about purchasing because I was afraid it wouldn't be as clear as my other phone but it is actually clearer and louder too. I love it.

this is the third ooma unit i have owned, and they are great. you can't beat the price, and you can't beat the savings. i do not like using cell phones as a replacement for landlines, and this is a spectacular alternative.

if you have a minimum of 15 Mbps down/5Mbps up. You can cancel your current VOIP by paying a one time fee of $69 for Ooma Telo. Works with AT&T DSL Uverse, Xfinity and Spectrum cable. Easy 3 step setup instructions included in the box or just call their support number. People actually answer their support number. You only have to pay a $3.00 a month tax fee. You can also have your existing phone number ported over to Ooma for a fee. Or sign-up for Ooma Premier service and get you existing number ported over for free. Ooma Premier offers two phone numbers, call log, and call blocking black list as well as a pre-approved white list. Premier also enables three way confrence calls.

Perfect for what we need. Totally worth the price. Paid for itself in just two months. The setup was almost seamless. As long as you have reliable internet. This is a no-brainer for replacing the local phone system.

This seems to be a good product. I've only had it for of couple weeks so I'm still in the evaluations stage. The clarity of the phone calls is good and the basic connections or easy to make. I have experienced some difficulty in receiving calls from certain sources. For some reason the calls are going to voicemail and being blocked from the ringer. I have not been able to determine what is causing that and it's a bit irritating. Particularly when you're expecting a call from someone and it gets blocked. On the positive side the staff at ooma are professional and willing to help. I just tried to resolve this problem on my own and I do not know whether I've been successful or not just yet.

Hooked up real easy, I just wanted a home phone without paying tons in bills so i went with this, I have comcast cable with 20 mb per second speed. sound is still a little dirty but not bad at all for only $4.67 a month in taxes (this is all i pay) and Ooma takes care of this for you. I would buy again

It was very easy set up and to verify the set up the customer service was outstanding walking me through to make sure all the wires were connected to the right ports because we connected to a modem and a router. It allowed us to no longer ahve a land line saving some money. Post installation it works great with clear voice quality.

I am very happy I decided to drop my home phone and go with Ooma! I like all the features with Premier membership, the price is right too. We call international on occasion, we did have a few dropped calls, but only when calling international, I can live with it. I would have given 5-stars except for the dropped calls. The call quality was very good. Our everyday calls are clear, no echo, no static, no problems. I have FIOS 25/25 internet. With Ooma, I pay $5/month for taxes and fees plus the Premier service charge of $10/month, for a total of $15/month. This is a savings of over 50% of my home phone service, with much better options! If you don't need the Premier options, you pay for taxes only, somewhere around $5/month! Sign up and save, it worked for me! Keith, Sunny Southern California

We got Ooma as a cheaper alternative for a home phone. I works through your internet service and costs us less than $7 a month. Works just as well as a standard land line. I've already recommended it to several people.

Purchased this Ooma after my family decided to "cut the cord" several months ago. It works well overall and has nice features for the price. The quality if good, but not as excellent as our old phone service from the cable company, though it does offer more features including free voicemail and call blocking options. The negatives were that the setup took a while to transfer over our old phone number and Ooma insisted on assigning us a second number to use, which for some reason is still stuck as the default number (Ooma gives you two phone lines for the deluxe package, apparently whether you want them or not) for accessing voice mail or via the Android app. A minor nuisance. Overall, worth trying if you don't want to use Vonage.

Best thing for free home phone service. Calls are clear. Comes with caller ID, call waiting, and voicemail. Very easy to set up! I love the dial tone I hear when I attempt to make a call.

    Can’t beat Ooma

My old Ooma device from 2010 just went out a few weeks back and I decided to get another unit from Best Buy instead of cancelling service. The new unit is smaller and buttons are more clicks than my older unit. You can’t beat this set up for those that need a landline phone. Now installation is a simple, the only thing is when you want to add this device to your account, you have to call in and talk to a service specialists and they need the activation number on the bottom of the unit and serial# etc. They have to push the button on their end, but it will be up and running in less than 15mins. Easy peasy.

Ooma Telo is a great way to save money on landline telephone service. There's no telephone bill; you only pay $4-$5 in taxes. What's especially wonderful is the community and personal blacklists that filter out robo- and telemarketer calls. It's also great to get email notification of voicemail messages when you're away from home. So many advantages over the old way of doing things!

I bought an OOMA Telo to replace an over 10-year old model that stopped working. My wife likes keeping a "land-line" and this is by far the cheapest option. My monthly bill is less than $7.00 (all taxes) and the sound quality and service are both excellent.

Don't waste time or money with Basic Talk or Vonage or COX or ANY other VOIP provider - just get an OOMA. After you pay for the device the monthly charges are (for me in Mesa, AZ) $3.85 for state and Fed taxes, Calls are crystal clear from any phone. All domestic calls are "free". They charge for international stuff but anyone will. Just get it, hook it up to your router, hook a phone to it, go thru the setup online and you're done.

The unit itself is sleek and unobtrusive. The price from Best Buy was $20 cheaper than buying from OOMA, herself! Installation was a snap, and we were phoning with alacrity very soon.
