Much better than MagicJack
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device itself is well constructed, and the call quality we've experienced so far (about 2 weeks) has been mostly very good. In two overseas calls, the connection dropped both times, requiring us to re-dial. Our main complaint has been with Ooma's customer service, which has been disappointing -- confusing and inconsistent information, and in one case completely failing to follow through on their commitments. If you want Ooma Premier service, you're probably better off buying a Telo packaged with at least one HD3 handset (which is required to fully use the second number).

Good but not Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from TWC's digital phone service thinking both are digital over the Internet. The Ooma hardware and service are good. My main number was ported to Ooma within 3 or 4 days. The voice quality on most calls is very good but not on all calls. I have had a few calls where I couldn't understand the caller. Calls from a Cell phone and/or when a caller using a speaker phone poor voice quality.

Easy Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up was easy, voice quality is very good. I have only had it hooked up for 2 days. Waiting the 21 days to have my current number ported- we'll see how that goes.

Best VOIP solution I could find
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great, low cost solution for a family that needed a phone for kids but wasn't interested in paying for local and long distance from the phone company. This solution is inexpensive and the quality is good. We are pleased with it. Only down side is that the Ooma needs to be located by your router. In our case, with a computer, speakers, external hard drive, desk lamp and now coma base and connected phone our desk top has gotten fairly cluttered.

Great for saving money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ooma Telo is a great way to save money and keep your land line. The upgrade at 120.00 per year is well worth the extra cost. The voice quality is really good and the features are fairly easy to use.

Lower your phone bills
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We're using CenturyLink for our phone and DSL service, and decided to fetch a VOIP device (Ooma) to drop the phone and retains the DSL service, which is a flat fee much lower than the phone which was getting out of hand expensive. The Ooma paid for itself within two months. It has been reliable as long there is a Internet connection and that's all we need. Plug in the RJ-11 modular plug from your existing telephone into the back of the Ooma and it works as if there wasn't any change in service. Of course there is initial setup to do on Ooma's website, which was not a problem.

Great Ooma
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Clear Voice think you are speaking on a landline. Cheap bill. No problems had the system for a month. Had only 1 issue where experienced static for about 3 minutes

Awesome product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crystal clear calls. Set up was a little confusing at first but eventually figured it out. I have not had a home phone for years, just my cell. At just $11 a month this can't be beat.

Ditch your phone carrier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sick of paying outrageous $$$ to AT&T? I was. At $30+ just for a dial tone and no long distance or additional features it was time to cut the cord. The Ooma Telo was so easy to set up, amazing sound quality, nice features (for premiere service which I may drop after my 60-day trial) and best of all - a new, lower, much lower phone bill. $4.37/ month. You will need a good High Speed Internet connection at home (I use Xfinity X-1 with speed boost). They say sound quality is comparable to that of Skype, but personally I think it is a bit better. My only regret is not doing this sooner.

Best landline Alternative
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the go to product for landline replacement, easy to set up and easy to use. For regular service you only have to pay tax which is around $5/month. Cant go wrong.

Excellent VOIP telephone service!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our Ooma Telo thus far has worked flawlessly. The sound quality is excellent, and installation was a "breeze." The Ooma system has far exceeded my expectations. It supports 911 location identification programing, as well as caller ID, voicemail, call waiting, call forwarding, etc. With the savings from terminating our land-line based telephone equipment, the Ooma will pay for itself within 3 months. I highly recommend the Ooma Telo .

LOVE my new Oooma!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cut the cord but still wanted a "land" line. Bought this and just love it. Easy to set up, calls sound great and I am saving a ton of money!

Works great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to setup and register. The sound quality is good. Transferring my phone number took less than a week. Other than the up front fees (the device itself, registration and porting) it will be a lot cheaper in the long run, than having my landline.

Ooma Basic
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paid $10 less than online price. Easy setup with internet. There is an additional cost of ~$45 from Ooma if you Import your old phone ##, however, if you don't care you get a new ## from Ooma your monthly phone bill is $6.19(iowa) for state, local, federal taxes calling anywhere in the continenal US. Now if moving phone ## will not change. Good voice quality over internet. The downside---if you lose power or lose internet connection you lose this phone line for communication.

Excellent Buy... fax line is up!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this primarily to use as a fax line. Wasn’t sure how well it would work for faxing but it has not let me down so far. Call quality is also crystal clear. Setup was a breeze!

Great Savings for Landline Users
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We switched to VOIP to keep our landline phone, but pay less than the phone service plan we had. After doing research online and talking with others we decided on Ooma, and so far (its been two months) have been pleased with it, especially the low cost for service and all that is included in the service. We especially like the ability to block telemarketers/spam calls. The quality of the sound is pretty good most of the time, occasionally there is an echo of your own voice or slight static sound, but mostly the quality is clear. One thing we don't like is that the voicemail alert light on the unit is very, very tiny.

super easy setup and crystal clear calls
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ooma telo was super easy to setup and get going straight out of the box. There was a glitch in the beginning with the telo connecting to the internet, but that could have been the service too (not sure). Once it was up and running, i havent regretted the purchase; crystal clear calls with no more monthly bills!!!
