We've had the Telo for about a month. What should have been an easy set-up was not so easy, because the activation code would not work. Two days and three calls later, customer support got me going. The rest of the set-up and porting of my old phone number was very easy. I'll have to say, the support group was very responsive and efficient, but no one offered a reason for the bad activation code. We still have lots to learn about features (We went for the premium service), but so far, we are very pleased with the sound quality and features. I would have given 5 stars if I had not had start-up issues.

I bought this Ooma Telo to replace the one I had for the last 6-7 years that just went bad for some reason. I like that once activated you can plug directly into any house phone port and it makes all of them active. I made sure I disconnected completely from the phone company in my box outside. It does have a slight lag in communication which can make speaking to someone a little frustrating at times, but still beats what I was paying for regular phone service and I got to keep my old number. Just be aware that it runs over your internet service through your modem. If your modem dies, you lose the ability to send and receive calls, but they have free voicemail service so you don't lose communication completely and can know who called when your internet is back up.

I looked at this system for over a year before buying it. Setting it up was easy and fast. I did elect to keep my original home number so paid the fee to have it transported. Ooma automatically enrolls you in premier service with two numbers. I opted out after the trial period so I lost one number... they took away my number I paid to have switched. Thank goodness i caught it (friends were telling me their calls weren't going to voicemail) and called ooma and got my number back. I also paid , through Ooma, for the wireless adapter. It never worked. Having this hard wired is definitely better. Save yourself some serious cash and invest in this system.

My mom likes this! This Ooma was installed to replace an old phone service that was turning into a $60 plus a month service. Both my parents are in there mid 60s and it has taken some learning to understand the iOS apps. But they enjoy the fact the voicemails can be sent to email.
This new Ooma system was very helpful after our town was hit with a tornado that did damage to our phone, cable, and electric lines.
I help setup an auto text message when a new voice mail was left with the Ooma. With my mom's smart phone, she was able to check her email every time she got a voice mail so the outage was not as bad as it would have been with the normal phone service with a landline.

Over the years I have purchased (3) of these Internet Phone Boxes, clarity is good, easy to port over an existing number, we like the call logs, no more hassle with the cable company and their IP phone billing practices.

Wish I had known about this a long time ago. I snipped the house phone from my cable bill and started saving money right away. It works great. It even has a feature that lets you link it to your cell phone. That way if your cell phone rings the house phone will too and vice versa. It was simple to set up. I unplugged it one time and needed assistance troubleshooting so I called customer service and they were awesome. They helped me and it only took maybe two minutes. They were really friendly too. I have no regrets.

This is a great way to save money, but I could not have done this without help from my daughter. She has one and recommended it. Even knowing what to do, she had to contact the service department a couple of times to help with the installation. The were very helpful. It stopped working once since I started using it, but you just unplug it and wait about 5 minutes after you plug it back in for it to initialize. Sound is good and clear.

My Ooma was easy to hook up and set up. The price for the service you get is very inexpensive. It's great to have the long distance and local calling for free, all you pay for is taxes and fees.

Setting up the Ooma device was very easy, and I was able to plug in a cordless phone and make calls in less than an hour, by myself. Call quality is great, it’s running on my AT&T fiber internet. Highly recommend.

Like most folks these days, I was looking to find a way to save money on my local phone service. I did a lot of research and read many reviews before making this purchase. Setup was easy. Ooma gives you a choice of phone numbers when setting up online. That was very simple. I tried this out for about a week before submitting a request to port my old copper landline to Ooma. Typically a port request takes a few weeks. Mine took about 10 days. There are many options and voicemail setup as easy. There is even a way to have Ooma communicate with your cell phone to notify you of calls and voicemails. No regrets so far.
