I have read it is the top rated phone service in America, and I have never had any problems at all. Mine works well for home phone and fax line. It was only replaced after 4 years because it was dropped while moving my home office to a diffrent area of the house.

I have saved thousands over the last 9 years with using Ooma as my home phone versus traditional land line and what cable provider charges. I cannot tell a difference with Ooma and traditional land line on voice quality. I had originally purchased Ooma back in 2013 but a severe brown and black out moment lasting several hours destroyed my power surge protector and Ooma unit so I had to purchase this new one.

I have had the unit running about a month now and it has performed admirably, as expected. I was looking forward to the change in phone service and was not disappointed. It was inexpensive and easy to set up, customer service was helpful however, on this front, my only issue occurred.... online chat function was unavailable both times I thought to use it but, over the phone service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. services are extensive and easy to use. A short "chime" occurs at the beginning of each call that I make, and could live without but, have quickly gotten used to it. I am quite happy with it.

It's been 9 months since I powered it up. Definitely much better than the 1st generation device that I have for 10+ years. I wish it could work with the older generation of the Telo adaptor that I have. Otherwise, no complaint.

I had bundled service of Internet/TV/Homephone. I want to un bundle so I can cut the cable and go with streaming service eventually. So I got ooma, and switched phone service to it. First caveat is ooma does not support ADT or any other 3rd party security service. Ooma has their own security system, so they have no incentive to support any others. Fortunately, I had a cell-phone backup for the security syste, so ADT was able to switch it to that. If you do not have a cell phone backup, then you might have to spend another $200 (one time) to get a cell backup. Ooma charges $40 to transfer existing homephone number to it also.

Crystal clear sound, easy to set up within minutes of opening, only took two days to port home number, not the 2-3 weks they said it might. Recommened to parents.

I've used Packet 8, then switched to Vonage, and NEITHER of them compare to Ooma! Surprisingly, voice quality is noticeably better, and while Packet 8 and Vonage had significant trouble faxing, Ooma has a choice of 3 fax settings in case you have trouble (I've had zero trouble with Ooma). Been using the system over a month and it is noticeably better AND MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE than the others. Just get it and you will be glad you did.

In my quest to break free of the exorbitant and ever rising rates of the cable company, I needed to replace my landline. Cell reception where I live is not reliable. After reading about the Ooma Telo telephone I decided to try it. It was easy to set up, and customer support is friendly and available. And you only pay the tax each month - $4.19 in my case.
You can get additional features for a small monthly charge but we don't need them. We've been using it now for about a month and are very happy with it.

I bought an OOMA to replace the ridiculously over-priced phone service that Comcast was providing. OOMA made it very easy to port my number, and their internet application is very user-friendly. I would say that the sound quality is about 80% of what Comcast provided, but still good enough. The price can't be beat.

I frequently work from home and wanted to add a separate line to be able to join conference calls. Some of my calls last an hour or more and so I did not want to tie up the house phone.
I originally had an ObiHai coupled to Google Voice and used that for free. Some people stated I sounded a little "choppy". So I did some research and decided to try Ooma.
Wow what a difference. This works great and call quality is amazing. Even has a digital answering machine. You only have to pay a few dollars each month to cover taxes and fees but that small amount is well worth it.
Highly recommended.

I had cosy seen ooma a few years back and was skeptical. But now that I have it I'm glad. There are so many features, like community blacklist which blocks telemarketers based on user feedback. I can't remember the last time a got a telemarketer call during dinner, it's great. Plus I only have to pay ~$4 in local taxes for the service every month. I'm saving so much.

Easy setup. Originally didn't have modem going Ooma before router and had some sound quality issues. Changed it and now seems to be clearer. To date I haven't had any issue with router traffic vs Ooma.

I have been an Ooma customer for the last 10 years, recently my Ooma Telo broke for no reason. While we have cellphones and wifi, nothing beats a home phone on VoIP because while we are on our cellphones all day working from home, someone can get through to us if our home phone is available.
My local BB has this in stock, thus it was in no time before our home phone is running again using the new Ooma Telo. Highly recommend this as a necessary tool for working from home.

This was an affordable, easy to set up alternative to a traditional landline. I used my old cordless phone system, plugging the base unit into the Ooma. I chose a new number, instead of importing my old one, and spam calls miraculously stopped immediately. Haven’t received a bill yet but estimate was about $6/mo for taxes & fees only.
