We wanted to save some money, and a friend and my boss recommended Ooma. So far so good. It seems to work well. It drives the 3-4 phones (incl. base units with remotes) that I have (I plugged it into the wall outlet, and it works well). The only con seemed to be that they said it would take a few weeks to port my number. In the end though, it only took a few days (I installed it just before Christmas).

After about 10 years with Vonage and not getting help with problems, I thought I would try Ooma. It took me about 20 minutes to set it up and activated. So, far all good.

Great way to save $$ instead of having to go through your local carrier. Instructions are a little vague, and you may have to call Ooma to clarify. If you just want a fax machine you will need need 2 phone numbers anyway and have to get the premier account and a telephone splitter which costs a little more but still alot cheaper.

Easy to set up and works perfectly fine as expected. They made porting from my cable provider easy and handled everything. I just had to ensure the cable provider actually removed the service from their bill (not related to Oooma).

Bought this phone service to reduce overpriced landline monthly costs. Purchased the premier monthly service for the added features that I needed. Eliminated all those annoying scammers and fake callers almost immediately. Great customer service, extremely responsive and available almost immediately. Didn't have to wait in a queue to reach someone for assistance.

Our Ooma service has been great. Having experience with VOIP systems at work, I knew that Ooma would deliver. Yes, the initial cost is a little steep, but it pays for itself within months! All of our calls have been crystal clear and the entire number porting process was a piece of cake.

We're probably part of a handful of families who still use a landline service other than their cellphones. This Ooma product provides a cheap monthly phone service. Good value, for the money. Voice over Internet service works well.

I've had Ooma Home Phone Service for about seven years. It stopped working. I purchased a new service, but found out it was only the cord. Replaced the cord and it works fine. This phone service has saved me a lot of money over the years.

The best thing about a system like this should be that you don't even notice it. That's the case with Ooma. The phone rings, we answer it, the sound is flawless, and I'm not overly aware of the technology. One thing that is noticeable is that Ooma announces who is calling. That's kind of nice. I haven't set up any of the special features yet, so I'm guessing I'll be even more impressed when I do that.

Even better than advertised and reviewed, this system was easy to set up. For about $42 (including taxes) I was able to port my old land line number. It took about 7 days to complete the porting process. If you get internet via DSL you will have to contact the service provider. Ooma will also apparently connect reasonably well with Nest products (e.g., smoke/CO alarm and video camera) to compliment the Ooma Security Service (offered via Ooma premium).

I love this thing! Initially we had a problem hooking it up with our cameras, but once we figured that out there were no problems. Call quality is great. Initially had some dropped calls, but after reconfiguring some settings hadn't had any issues since. Should have done this sooner!

Very satisfied with Ooma. We had a friend tell us about this product, he too, was very satisfied. The initial investment is Ooma box, then we ported our phone number $39.99, but be aware there are taxes and fees that are added to this port. Ended up being $50.14 for the number ported, this included the $39.99 charged for porting. The service is clear. I definitely recommend this product.

I purchased this unit to use as a dedicated fax line and to make a call once in a while. It works perfectly and I could not be happier! Faxes go through and or are received with no errors and when using for voice, the quality is great. I love this little unit.

It you install this behind a firewall, you likely will encounter some installation problems. I have two of these now and both had same issues that were resolved with a call to Ooma support. But given the dollar savings of VOIP service over my other options, as well as the voice quality and features, I am more than happy with the Ooma Telos. And if you connect to the DMZ side of your router/firewall, you should have zero installation problems.

I have used Ooma for about 2 months now and the call quality is excellent. My phone is bill is less than $4 dollars a month. In 3 months I will have recouped my cost of the purchase with the monthly savings. I would highly recommend.
