Great little device that saved me over $28.00 per month! The local cable provider was charging me $35/month for land line service and with this little gem, I'm now paying $6.92/month with all taxes and fees included. All the features work fine and hookup was a breeze. Highly recommended!

Replaced land line--this does a great job!

We finally replaced our land line. Ooma sound quality is excellent. We just plug our existing Uniden cordless base telephone in and it works! We save at least $45 per month with this--and still have the convenience of grabbing the phone and making a call (without having to find the cell phone).

Replaced our landline, some hiccups getting it set up but once it was set up has been working without problems. Voicemail is a lot more convenient as well.

    Cutting the Windstream cord

After getting much faster internet from Spectrum, I finally cut the cord from horrible Windstream (overcharge, bad service, and low speeds). Wife wants a home phone , so this seemed the best alternative, plus the expandability for other services, which I can't wait to try. Took a long time to port the number, but works fine, with good voice quality domestically. Yet to test quality for international calls.

Works well and the porting of my existing number was a bit expensive ($40.00), but it was ported in only 3 days. If you are leaving a Frontier bundle (only the phone part), make sure that Frontier does not cancel your cable and Internet when they get the port request from Ooma. Only reason it is not 5 stars is that the importing of a comma delimited file for contacts is not presently working on the Ooma website.

Works pretty much as advertised. Wish Ooma had not taken the opportunity to spam me with untold numbers of emails. Cost of porting over a number is outrageous, last VOIP phone service I had charged nothing.

So many technology innovations just don't work the way they are advertised. This was easy to install. Easy to get it working and it is working just fine. It is a great way to cut the monthly operating costs in my home by eliminating the phone bill.

I bought this as a gift for my sister. She has limited technical skills but she was able to get this set up. I also have an Ooma in my house. It is a good alternative to an expensive landline. We both have been able to save money by discontinuing our Cox cable phone.

    OOMA Telo Delivers

OOMA Telo does the job when needing an inexpensive solution to expensive traditional solutions. The system is very easy to set up and does require a credit card as the monthly line taxes are charged. For me this amounts to about $5.50/month. Additional features are unlocked with the Premier service. It should be noted that in order to take full advantage of the second line OOMA provides, you must use at least one of their HD2 handsets. This handset will automatically detect the additional number and ring only to one phone. Premier service is currently running $9.99/month. OOMA is also providing free gifts if you sign up for the entire year. My only complaint if you want to even call it that, is that OOMA does have a slight delay when talking with someone. So don't be quick to jump in and expect your listener to stop talking right away.

Unfortunately, my original Ooma Telo died and had to be replaced. No lightning strikes... just old... Swapped in new one, called Ooma and they transferred my service behind the scenes. Back up and running... Still streaks ahead of regular phone service with this swap.

This was a replacement phone for the OOMA phone I had for over a decade. It was old and worn out. I love OOMA products and services and have my family members also using the products. Haven`t had a home phone bill in years. Love it!

With Ooma my home "Internet" phone went from $30 per month (AT&T) to $6 per month! So far it has worked very well. Only had to reboot it once since installing it.

got to replace landline from comcast and so far the service is working well, only drawbacks are the wait to port the current ph#, witch didn't take as long as they suggested, and the slight delay in receivers hearing you when answering calls. worth upgrading to the bluetooth option.

I waited a couple of months to see how well this works. The initial setup took a call to tech support who were very helpful but that is why it only gets 4 stars. It should have included the extra steps I needed to do in the instructions. That said it works great and it costs less than $5 a month! I paid several times that to the big phone company for a noisy and useless line.
