I was looking for the overall cheapest and most user friendly VoIP I could find. When I purchased the Ooma, I found it really easy to set up. Now we have a phone for my children's friends to call my children and not call my cellphone anymore.

After paying an outrageous amount of money for local only phone service I bought the OOMA now we have local and long distance service for less than three months of service for a complete year. After paying for the device the cost of service is about 5 dollars a month. Very easy to install and set up. You can even keep your current number.

This little box is amazing. It does everything I could think of wanting a VOIP box to do and the free service is excellent. Paid service options are very cool too. I opted to buy an Ooma handset too, which connected seemlessly to this box. I've even convinced 2 other families to dump their ISP phone service and go Ooma. They love it too.

Nothing to the setup. Very much plug and play. Initial 2-3 mo. period gives a trial of their premium service at no cost. If you decide to go basic you have to opt out before the end of the trial.
The phone quality is just like any other land line phone system I've used over the years.

I've owned an Ooma VOIP for over 5 yrs. I wanted a landline home phone I could use in an emergency and the 9-1-1 operator would know my location in case I was unable to speak. I pay about $4/mo for the 9-1-1 fee. Easy to install to your internet router. Bonus: I can call anywhere in the world for free.

Great sound quality. Really went in easy; 20 minutes tops. And, maybe the coolest thing is it sends you an email with an mp3 file of each of your voice mails. Not to mention it's cheap as dirt!

I have heard many Internet phones over the years, this one is simply the best! I do a lot of calling from my job site in Saudi Arabia back to the US and honestly sounds like calling on any good phone in the states. It isn't free as you still have to pay taxes, but if you value quality, I highly recommend this product.

May be worth five stars but we have had some glitches getting it set up. It seemed to take a couple of weeks to "settle in." Sometimes there are sound distortions. However, we are happy to have the service and to pay rather little for it. We are hoping that it will meet our need over the long term.

Clarity and operation is as good as any. There is up front cost of buying the Ooma unit itself. Monthly cost has been roughly $5.50. Comcast was about $45.00 a month so it paid for itself in 2 months. If the internet goes down then obviously no phone service but that is not common.

We've been using Ooma for our phone service for over a month and have had no problems. The device was easy to set up, we are able to use the two phones we have (without any additional devices), and we're saving so much money the Ooma will pay for itself in just a few months.
