Worked as promised. We switched over because our phone / cable / internet provider had already switched us to VOIP, but was still charging us as if we were still receiving landline service. So we figured to switch over and save 20 bucks a month. We ported our number. It was easy. No problems. The service works just as well as our former provider. 5 stars

OOMA is WONDERFUL, Telo not so much

Ooma is, to me, hands down the best VOIP provider out there, and I have 30 + years of experience, though most of that was spent with one company that became progessively residential service unfriendly. Ooma is also the best value for quality of connection and options at an affordable price, in the USA, Their website dashboard is just great, and their features are amazing. However in my opinion their Telo is not durable. In short order I went through 4. And they are VERY expensive to replace. When I left the other company, even though it has no comparable value for service, the box at least was still going strong after 12 tears. Ooma is so close to being the perfect VOIP phone provider, IMO they can and should do better. However, I am not leaving. And BTW this particular Best Buy device, for the record, was brand new and only lasted a little over a year. Exactly long enough to go off warranty.

It took longer to read the instructions than to set up the device. Very high quality audio connections. A lot of good features for a very reasonable price.

I switched to Ooma from a competitor (which I liked as well) because of the call blocking feature and blacklist feature since the competitor does not offer them. I could not be happier with all things Ooma. I have also bought 4 HD2 handsets since buying my Telo.

Ooma pretty much does what it claims to do. Functionally, the only reservation is that VOIP seems to have a very slight but perceptible delay. Not normally an issue.
The online manuals are all for an older version of the product and the only up-to-date information is on their somewhat difficult to use forum.
For most questions, their chat support is quick and accurate.
I had issues getting a valid phone number initially, but that was quickly resolved by their phone support. I later ported my existing number and Ooma handled this in four days and kept me up to date throughout the process.

Love the Ooma. No more high phone bills. Less than $5 in taxes paid each month. Very clear communication. Well worth the money.

The Ooma allows you to use your internet connection to make calls for just pennies a day (taxes usually run $3 to $4 a month). If you want you can sign up for extra services for just $9.95 a month.

Awesome device all you do is the the taxes and fees which are about 10 bucks a month. You can call almost anywhere. Very customizable. Call quality is above decent and above average.

Works great with high speed internet! Worth the money to have an established home phone number vs just using your cell phone.

This works great. Same call quality as a regular land line, if not better. And much less expensive than CenturyLink. With the Android app I can get calls to this line even away from home.

I had magic jack for several years and always experienced call quality issues. The quality of my Ooma system has been great. While not as cheap as magic jack, Ooma has a much better price point than other like telephone subscription services.

I usually do a little research prior to purchase and a few friends recommended to take a look at Best Buy for the item and it turns out to have been good advice. Everything is working well and not too difficult to assemble. thanks for asking!

I live in the hills and wife wanted a landline. Rather than pay Comcast, I bought an Ooma and it has worked beautifully. Pay $4.50 in taxes each month, but save way more since a Comcast landline would be at least $35/month.

I really wanted this thing to work. Was a pain in the butt to set up. And calls were clear but took a while to start making a connection to make the call. Customer service is bad for ooma as well.

Do yourself a favor and replace your pricy landline with this VOIP system. We have been using it for about a year (mostly to call overseas) and paying less than a tenth of what we were paying for a landline.

This is my second Ooma Telo. My first unit stopped working after ten years of very reliable service. This unit works just as well as my first.
