I have been very impressed, not only with the physical unit but the company behind it. Every detail of the packaging, the unit itself and website reflect high standards. The porting of my number went very smooth. While I could pay only the taxes (<$5/mo), I will probably keep the add'l $10/month for the "features". (If you want the absolute cheapest service, get a google voice # and OBI200 - "bare bones" but works well also.)

A great alternative to land lines. Great quality and unless you want special features this is very inexpensive.

It is not comparable to Vonage, but quality is good. It is fairly cheap ($14.95) month. I will keep the service as I am fine with the service.

Very easy set up, can keep current phone number and totally reasonable. Never had a problem with my 8 year old machine.

Works very well. Banging savings on the pocket book and excellent quality on calls outside of the country. Yeah baby!

The ooma was easy to set up. The sound is fine. The mobile phone app is nice but disconnects quite often.

Wanted to get off the cable company phone charges and this worked out perfectly.

We are using the free service which cost about $7 a month for taxes. Had some issues setting up but the second call to customer service was very helpful and they got us going. So far works well.

Took awhile to get used to the new system but now find it very useful and cheaper than a regular land line.

We have ooma in two houses. In a second home we have the basic service for around six dollars a month. Works like we are used to a phone working but with the additional feature of checking activity remotely. In our primary home we pay a few dollars more for the deluxe plan. We like the mp3 voice mails that are emailed to us and the automatic forwarding to our cell phone when the power goes out.

Plugs in and just works. Phone number ported quickly. Unfortunately, it's not as stable as our service through the cable company, and I've had to reboot it twice in the month I've had it. The dial tone chime is annoying, but i was able to eliminate that by setting my phone number as a "fax" in the settings (still works like a phone).

We don't use our land line much anymore, but I was reluctant to give it up entirely. So, when I heard about the Ooma phone, I thought that would be the answer! We ported our old number to the Ooma service and everything works as before. Except we get a phone bill that costs only 10% of the old bill! That's quite a savings.

To be honest I haven't gave out this number yet (because we have cellphones), but as a back-up this works out perfect... The only thing I don't like is the up-sell they try after a month or so with the product... $10 for extra feature that should be included with the package...

This is easy to install and works well for home phone. It saves money.

We had an earlier version that works great and got this for our new home. Much easier to install
