You must have internet and activate it through a mobile phone or tablet app too. It took some time to set up and at first I thought it was not working, but it was because it takes 15 minutes to go online.

Who needs to pay $$$ for a house phone

I have one cordless phone in my room, one in the loft and one in the kitchen. I only pay $4.xx/monthly for the service and the rest is history. My connection is great and there is absolutely no difference in the service except for the price....winning!!!

Great Choice

After reading good reviews that Ooma had a way to have excellent voice clarity, we decided to give it a try. I haven't had one complaint since then, from anyone on the other end of the line. It is a higher upfront cost, but it will pay for it self after several months, and no more frustration! Works for VOIP whole house.

Still working until ooma upgrade their system. I have no choice but to buy a new one. I returned this oioma because I found a better version.
