Easy and inexpensive phone service

The service is reliable and under $4.00 per month for long distance and local. I use my home service primarily for sending and receiving faxes. It takes a bit to get used to - waiting for the dial tone when you choose to make a cal, but for the money, it's a great deal.

It is taking time to checkout

There are limitations on where it can be placed in the house. Basically has to be next to the router. My phone base is in a different room. I had to get a small extender to link the phone base to the base next to the router. I finally have it all hooked up and will have to see if we like it.

Love Ooma

This was a replacement to a 6-7 year old unit. One caveat to the setup - for existing customers, you need to call to link the account to the box.

Save money on your phone

We're definitely saving money and transferring our number was easy and only took 7-10 days. Would recommend

Nice alternative

Works great and my favorite aspect is that it lights up blue when the Internet is working but flashes red when the Internet is down. So it serves as visual reminder everything is up and running.
