    This is my second OOMA, the first was fried by a lightning strike. The service is reliable and under $4.00 per month for long distance and local. I use my home service primarily for sending and receiving faxes. It takes a bit to get used to - waiting for the dial tone when you choose to make a cal, but for the money, it's a great deal.

    I guess I did not do a good enough job checking out the product ahead of time. There are limitations on where it can be placed in the house. Basically has to be next to the router. My phone base is in a different room. I had to get a small extender to link the phone base to the base next to the router. I finally have it all hooked up and will have to see if we like it.

    Been an Ooma customer for many years now and love the service. This was a replacement to a 6-7 year old unit. One caveat to the setup - for existing customers, you need to call to link the account to the box.
