    Please know up front to make an appointment - hard to get service as a walk-in. Get discounted in home tv mounting with my Geek Squad membership!

    Geek squad told me my computer was not salvageable. I then took it to a private computer guy who said, "All computers are salvageable." He got it up and operating correctly for a low cost. I'm assuming the fix was something Best Buy & Geek Squad did not want their tech's to waste time on or the liability. But I learned a lesson about where to take my computer with that experience. It would really depend on what I needed help with whether I would ask for Geek Squad's help or not.

    I had to sign up for service and was on the wait list for 2 weeks. My laptop was updated a few days later. Works great now.

    The agent re booted my laptop in a timely manner. He aslo let me know what the problem was and offered a plan to make sure I won't get a virus again.

    My laptop had been completely disabled by a virus. Geeksquad wiped my laptop clean then installed Windows 10. Was ready for pickup the next day. Works perfectly!
