Geek squad are a great team in the Best Buy, they clearly explain what it was going to get done and how much it was going to be.

They did their best to fix my problem but i wound up having to fix it myself

BB was to fix my PC at home, but couldn't after an hour. Told me to take it to my local BB. They said the OS needed to be reloaded, and saved my data. They sent my PC to the Phoenix Service Center, and said the OS would be loaded in 1-2 weeks. After 3 weeks I tried to get status without any luck. Note you can't call the local BB directly, you have to go through their call service center which is definitely not in America. After over 6 weeks I finally got my PC back, except Agent Brayden at my local BB said all data was lost since they don't keep data for more than 30 days. I had to engage Agent Fausey (who was excellent, BTW) to restore my data which they had saved.

Best Buy often doesn't have good customer service in the stores I visit particularly the Geek squad. I would rather go somewhere else to get my computers serviced however this was much more convenient and the job got done. I would love to see efforts made with pricing strategy for geek squad and get the geek squads agents a little more down to hearth, caring and helpfull. However I do purchase a lot of my items from these stores as they usually have a good selection, pricing and rewards program.

I was not sure where to get a new operating system as mine crashed. Geek squad was very helpful and knowledgable about services!

So grateful they got my laptop working again. I would recommend this to someone else although I thought it was a little pricey.

Took a 3 year old HP X360 in to repair a bios issue! Could never fix the issue, in fact used another HP laptop to help them fix the issue! They told me they couldn’t repair it, and thought the mother board was bad. I had them remove the media from the computer into the new one I purchased. Cost me $99.00 to basically download a few photos! Not happy! These guys don’t seem all that Professional to me!

Subcontractors were sent from local Best Buy.. not as efficient as former Geek Squads

They didn’t inform me wrong about how the reset worked. They said if another problem would arise I’d get a refund. When I took my computer home it still wasn’t working and I came back the next day just for someone to come and charge me more money to fix it again. Very disappointed.

Computer restored, but not all photo files survived.

I purchased a windows 10 thumb drive from Best Buy almost 3 wks ago and had installed in the store In Myrtle Beach. I spoke to the techs with what i wanted done and what i wanted saved. I had Webroot installed and my email was from Spectrum. I picked my pc up took it home email is not working right since. Called Geek squad could hardly understand him. He then told me to call the store and hug up on me. The next day and got another person who I had difficulty understanding but she was able to help me somewhat and told me my email was fixed. We hung up and I tried my email and it still doesn't work right. I had to make another call to try and get a tech to come to my house and was told they couldn't come for another 3 to 4wks, I,m very unhappy with the service i,m getting now I had to make another appointment and bring my pc in again. I hope i'm not being charged again to get it fixed again because it wasn't done right the first time.

The agent replaced my hard drive-in laptop and was uncapable to save and transfer my data. My next-door neighbor was able to recover my files , so much for the Geek squad.
