    Not happy with my last Geek Squad service

    My laptop is left with Geek Squad to install Windows 11 (Best Buy Store #205, Irving TX). After I picked it and came home, it seemed they re-installed Windows 10 again which I had on it in the first place. Emailed to Geek Squad Manager (Brandon) at the store to check into this but no reply from him in two days. I expected a reply from BestBuy on this misunderstanding. I spent almost 3200 dollars my money this year at BestBuy. I may need to think about shop somewhere else in future. Misunderstanding happened but expected little cooperation from the Store and Manager with some responses.

    Our computer was hacked. The Geek Squad promptly and professionally reset our computer to factory default. They were able to explain the process so that we understood exactly what was happening. A phone call was made to us to notify of completion and available hours for pick up.

    My repaired computer has already failed again. I took it back yesterday and was told I would have to pay 199.00 again to have it serviced since I didn’t buy Tech Support when computer was repaired but I wasn’t aware of additional coverage nothing was said or explained to me. It’s been less than a month and the computer is experiencing the same problem. So since it’s been less than a month I feel the work that was done previously should be covered. Very disappointed.

    This internet security is so extraordinarily good, that I believe that it should be considered the best. Well, at least it's the best internet security that I've used thus far. This product is also very user-friendly. I honestly have enjoyed this experience of using this internet security protection.

    I ordered a system online preconfigured but they didn't install the operating system. It was also behaving strangely so I took it in and the geek squad got it up and running, installed all the drivers and patches. Now it works great. They also turned it around in a day.

    I brought my PC (5 years old) in for service when it started booting up slowly and creating temp profiles. agent Eric diagnosed the problem (hard drive failure) and was able to recommend cost saving options to fix the problem. My PC has been running like new since.

    What should have been an easy drop off and install, took 3 days longer that expected. The original team to do the install was rude and unprofessional. The Manager stepped in and he did his best for service recovery, but its has made me reconsider any future purchases with Best Buy.

    Apple repair refused me because my computer was "vintage," but The Geek Squad replaced the worn out parts, and restored my operating system to what I requested. I was very happy to get my computer back, and so much more affordable than getting a new one!

    I had an old MacBook laptop that I wanted to get back to factory reset and have operating system reinstalled. I guess I didn't ask the right question because apparently the laptop was too old to update with a later version of Apple's iOS so I can't use the laptop. I brought it back to Geek Squad and the rep explained that to me and said there was nothing they could do and I was just out the $200 for the service. Plus I had bought the Home Office software, which is non refundable. This would have been handy info to know before they worked on the computer.

    I didn't realize I could review this or I woulda done it a long time ago!! I wish I could give ZERO stars, for this. After paying $100 to have this software installed, it didn't work like I was told it would. Back to the store-just to have a manager tell me that the software would NEVER have worked for what I wanted AND that the guy who installed it no longer worked there!! But he wouldn't give me a partial refund or credit or ANYTHING!

    Computer slowed down and lots of programs quit working. Not a computer used with internet so no explanation as to why it would have any such issues. Don't think I should have had to pay $100 to restore it since I did just buy it in February.

    The first time I dropped off my laptop,I was told it was hijacked and needed wiped and the programs reinstalled.When I picked it up and returned home,I had no WiFi driver,keyboard jumping and some other issues.I did purchase a network cable and was able to go on line.I hooked with Geek Squad on line and was told he could fix it remotely.After 3 hours,he stated it was a modem issue and I needed to contact my IP carrier.With 8 other devices hooked to my modem operating normally,I found this very hard to believe.After dropping it off again,it was not ready at the promised time or date.My WiFi is working normally,But the keyboard issue remains.

    The laptop came back worse then when I brought it in. I could no longer access the internet. I brought it back and they blamed a dent I had, but yet I never had the problem, until they got their hands on it.

    it is so unfortunate that we purchase these expensive electronics and then you guys want to charge us to trouble shoot them when they are still under warranty. Especially when they are Apple products that we can have apple trouble shoot and repair for free. A total disappointment.
