    I had an old MacBook laptop that I wanted to get back to factory reset and have operating system reinstalled. I guess I didn't ask the right question because apparently the laptop was too old to update with a later version of Apple's iOS so I can't use the laptop. I brought it back to Geek Squad and the rep explained that to me and said there was nothing they could do and I was just out the $200 for the service. Plus I had bought the Home Office software, which is non refundable. This would have been handy info to know before they worked on the computer.

    I didn't realize I could review this or I woulda done it a long time ago!! I wish I could give ZERO stars, for this. After paying $100 to have this software installed, it didn't work like I was told it would. Back to the store-just to have a manager tell me that the software would NEVER have worked for what I wanted AND that the guy who installed it no longer worked there!! But he wouldn't give me a partial refund or credit or ANYTHING!

    Computer slowed down and lots of programs quit working. Not a computer used with internet so no explanation as to why it would have any such issues. Don't think I should have had to pay $100 to restore it since I did just buy it in February.

    The first time I dropped off my laptop,I was told it was hijacked and needed wiped and the programs reinstalled.When I picked it up and returned home,I had no WiFi driver,keyboard jumping and some other issues.I did purchase a network cable and was able to go on line.I hooked with Geek Squad on line and was told he could fix it remotely.After 3 hours,he stated it was a modem issue and I needed to contact my IP carrier.With 8 other devices hooked to my modem operating normally,I found this very hard to believe.After dropping it off again,it was not ready at the promised time or date.My WiFi is working normally,But the keyboard issue remains.

    The laptop came back worse then when I brought it in. I could no longer access the internet. I brought it back and they blamed a dent I had, but yet I never had the problem, until they got their hands on it.

    I had to call the store before getting any updates on the progress of my computer and whatever was done did not fix the problem whatsoever.

    NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH THE TECH , I FELT RUSHED, AND WAS SENT HOME BEFORE UNIT WAS COMPLETELY REPAIRED AND TO TO FINISH DOWNLOAD AT HOME ! I BELIEVE HE WAS "WELL QUALIFIED TO REPAIR THE MAC BUT TOO IMPATIENT WITH ME !!

    your pricing for repairs are beyond reprehensible and ridiculous. I am certain that I will NOT return to a best buy store for anything just as I have done in the past, your inflated pricing.

    Good service took longer. They called said it was done, called back it has crashed. We are flood victims so hope it will start back up and run with no problems. Other wise we will be back to start over. Lap top will not come on.

    it is so unfortunate that we purchase these expensive electronics and then you guys want to charge us to trouble shoot them when they are still under warranty. Especially when they are Apple products that we can have apple trouble shoot and repair for free. A total disappointment.

    I was told they will transfer my kids photos from An old dell laptop to a easystorage portable! Not only all transfer was not done the way they promise☹️ Most importantly My kids photo was not included when hey gave me the copy ! I called him back two weeks later and told them I found the photos of my kids on iPad I need them to transfer the photos in my easy storage , they cannot do that either☹️☹️☹️. I am very disappointed !!☹️I have to pay for $200 dollar be a member

    All problem areas were corrected, operates perfect. All files were transferred to new pc and set up was perfect. Tech's did their job perfect and explained what the problem areas were.

    Front counter agents don't actually know how to diagnose a PC, true talent lies behind the precinct wall lol quoted a week to wipe and reinstall windows, called two days later and said it was done.

    I will only bring my computer to the Geek Squad when it has "performance issues". They are always patient and kind and are very knowledgeable . I also find them consistently trustworthy.

    I will absolutely never take my pc back to geek squad They didn’t do what they said they were going to do and also gave my pc back worse then it was when it arrived so I fixed it myself instead. Such a waste.

    Ultimately my problem was the WiFi card went bad, but they thought a new installation of the OS would solve that.

    My computer completely crashed and the Geek Squad got it back up and running. Very long wait in store to even get someone to help me.
