It crushes ice great, mixes great smoothies, even when you put whole fruit in!! I love it and I love mixing with it. It's just now starting to burn it because we use it so often and that's because mom used the fire out of it and I love it to make smoothies etc. It's a durable blender, as a matter of fact I'm buying another one for her this Christmas to replace this one!!!
