We wanted the 4 slice so we can eat together without one of us always eating cold toast. Sometimes it does not toast well and you have to pop it back down. So one side the toast is good but the other not so much and never consistent. So we still do not get hot toast at the same time.

The reason for buying it, the retractable plug is a hit or miss proposition. It's cheap and you can definitely tell that from its quality
