Unfortunately that's its weakest point. There are no visible gradations on setting the time for toast. There is a 20 and 10 minute mark but nothing less. I've burned a lot of bread trying to guess the right setting. As a small oven it's OK.

If you would like to toast, make sure that you are setting the temperature to 450º F and the function to Toast. For this particular setting, the cooking time is directly connected to the toast shade. On the Timer knob, you will see an outline of a piece of bread close to Off which will represent a light shade and a filled-in piece of bread to represent a dark shade. Turn the knob to the 20 minute mark and then back to your preferred toast shade. If you like it medium-dark, then you would want to turn it back to between the two pieces of bread. If you continue having trouble with your toaster oven, please call our customer care team at 1-800-334-0759 between the hours of 9AM - 6PM, EST, Monday through Friday.
