I used it successfully for about 5 times and then the toaster part stopped working for me. All it does is pretty much bake the bread. No toasting to a golden brown or any brown.

How do I keep it from burning toast?

I even looked at the manual. All I get is burned toast. I'm not this dumb. I have to literally stand next to this thing and watch til the toast is light brown. And that's ridiculous because if I run to my office and start looking at emails in the morning while I'm trying to make toast -- I get burned toast.

Posted .Oh no! That is definitely not the kind of experience that we want you to have. Our Oster Toaster Ovens were made with the highest quality and complete materials and we expect them to last. The shade settings range from 1-6, 1 being the lightest and 6 the darkest. If you are having problems that your bread was burnt, you may try to check the possible causes:
-Incorrect temperature or time setting. -You may have to adjust the time and temperature to desired taste. Because your countertop oven is smaller than your regular oven, it will heat up faster and generally cook in shorter periods of time.
-Rack placement- Refer to “Positioning Rack” Section, Page 4 on the manual. Rack may need to be adjusted to accommodate food type.

Cannot fit 6 slices of bread

There was no way more than four slices of bread could have possibly been put into this toaster. It also seems to cook at a higher temperature than what it says. I returned it after a few days.
