This one, bought in 2020, is just as good, and seems to be just as reliable, as that old one was. The glass jar is heavy-duty. I'm looking forward to many years of fine blending.

It seems well built, the pitcher is glass instead of some yucky plastic, and the blade appears robust. I've made smoothies with it and pureed some cooked carrots for a soup and everything works as expected. I also like having the range of speed buttons. Of course, the pulse button reigns supreme! Hopefully I'll be able to have a decent party this summer and use this great blender to make margaritas!

Love my Oster Blender

I use fresh strawberries and Greek yogurt. The price and taste is better then the local yogurt store. I also use the blender to chop my 14 year old dry cat food which i mix with wet cat food. I love my Oster Classic blender so much that I purchased two.

Nice blender for wisdom teeth smoothies

Comes with a little helpful guide on best way to blend things. My advice -> Liquid first to float any solids above the bottom part of the blades to make it easier to blend, then just tap the ice crush function to chop it up.

I decided to look for the same one to replace the dying one. Bang! At the first look best buy had it on sale. How fortunate It's overall the best blender by far and priced right

For What It Is, It’ll Work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my folks last minute on a “emergency run” because we were making a large meal and for making salsas apparently it has to be with a glass pitcher because the contents are hot and the previous one shattered and so forth and meal needed to be completed as scheduled... so you can imagine the typical family ambience looking for a blender quickly and on the cheap. This worked!! So for that I give it the 3 stars. However, it’s very limited on what it can do, so it covers basics. Count on that, guaranteed to work. Alas, we upgraded to a higher end one right away because of its limited functionality, and not to mention the super noisy levels it goes to. I know they gotta make noise but there’s models that the noise ain’t too unpleasant to the ears. So if you’re on the look for a cheap blender that works for basics and the noise hwon’t disturb you, go for it, like I said, it does its job well done. If you’re looking for a more sophisticated one, I’d recommend another blender.

This is PERFECT. higher quality than the MIA one. Chopped ice for my am coffee. Great for smoothies. And just about everything else too.
