Everytime I have made pancakes on it they stick and a black residue is left on the surface of the griddle. I wouldn't buy another one.

My food sticks to the skillet and the warming tray has practically melted away. I have only used it maybe 4 times b/c of these reasons. I prefer my old fashioned nonstick skillet. Don't waste your time or money.
