Too easy to unscrew vessel from blade/base when trying to decouple from the motor base.

I got it so I could make individual milk shakes and smoothies, but it leaks a little and is difficult to lock in place without getting the base stuck. I will probably buy a regular blender and give this one to goodwill.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If your looking to mix protein power and milk/water, then this is more than enough, if your doing fresh fruit and veggies, the works good, once you get into the frozen stuff is where I had a few issues, I had to take the cup off and shake it myself to spread the un-chopped stuff up and then put it back on a few times to do the job. For the price this thing worked good and didn't just stop on the frozen stuff so that was a plus. I guess the best way to look at this and if it is good is, if you are wanting to make smoothies everyday with frozen fruit, pay more, if you want something light, easy to use for less frozen stuff, and easy to clean then this might be what you are looking for. When I go back to the office this will go with me for my lunch protein drinks. Overall I would say it is good for it's price and if you aren't planning on needing it to do heavy lifting.

This blender succeeded an earlier Oster Design that simply wore out. The new one locks down - a great improvement, I thought. Ran it one time and barely got the blade assembly released from the base with a slight spill. Next time it would not release at all - permanently stuck to the base no matter how hard you push down - the bottle unscrews first. Taking it back to Best Buy.
