I bought this in hopes it would at least crush ice well and make juices and smoothies for until my new blender arrived. One of my dieting juices contains leaves and this blender did not blend them well compared to the previous kitchenaid and ninja I own. Overall I'd only recommend this blender if you can't afford a better quality blender. If you leave the mixer on for a while, it eventually blended everything, but it definitely took quite a while and the results still weren't completely blended.

Posted .The 6812 can definitely crush ice, but it does depend on hum ice you are trying to crush at one time. You want to make sure you have more liquids in your blender than solids.
