So far this blender works for what we need it to. Mostly making soups and sometimes smoothies. Haven't tested out the ice crushing ability. Only complaints I have is that the off button is also the pulse button so you have to give it one more blast before it turns off, kind of annoying. Also that black plastic ring is worthless. I took it off and left it off. Speeds don't seem all that necessary. The middle speeds seem to all be about the same. For the price though I think it is worth it.

Bought this to make smoothies and blend my protein shakes. Does both very well and is decently quiet, given the amount of power that it has.

My mother really loved what I gave her, it's much better than the old one we had, and works much faster and easy to use.

Great blender, Plenty of power, looks good too so you dont mind it being seen left on the counter. I like it and the price is great.

I'm not some weirdo health nut, but this thing can make smoothies( I feel like a jerk even typing the word ) like a fiend. So far it's sturdy as heckl, and looks cool too !

So it does what it needs to do which is make my salsa and guacamole. As a hispanic i need a good blender to make amazing salsa this is good.

I got this to make smoothies and it works great. The only problem is that its hard to get the blender to crush up the ice and get to blending the drink. The blade spins and the contents of the blender don't move so I have to stir it up myself to get it going again. Other than that problem, it works phenomenally and I couldn't be happier with the machine. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a cheap, sturdy blender.

I've owned this blender for over 6 months, and I haven't had the best of luck with it. What drew me to it were the reviews on here; however, I haven't had the same results. I mainly use it to make fruit smoothies, so even if I'm using frozen fruit, slightly defrosted frozen fruit, or ice, it takes a VERY long time for it to blend/mix my smoothie (yes I include some liquid when I'm blending). I hope everyone else continues to have better luck with theirs. Mine was a dud.

I always look to buy devices with motors with large wattage ratings. When a person buys something with a small wattage rating it just burns out, then you have to replace it making the final purchase expensive. This Oster® blender is rated at 450 Watts whereas my 350 Watt blender has just smoked just when I didn't need the problem.

Great buy. I bought it for my Dad. He loves it. Not noisy. Price was reasonable.

Too noisy, after 9 months, the closur that was made from cheap plastic was easily broken, and i cant used again for the liquid due to it comes out. i dont recommend it for any body.

Fair blender but there are much cheaper ones out there. You would not usually conisder on purchasing a blender how noisy it is. This one is very loud. In the mornings if you want to make a shake you could wake the whole house. You can not have a conversation near it.

The oster blender is one of the best. It has great quality and gets the job done quickly! It's a must have if you like to make smoothies.

I have used my Oster 16 speed blender for about two weeks. I am very pleased with my purchase. This blender makes the greatest smoothies. There are no chunks of ice or fruit.

This blender looks good and is made with quality. My complaint is that for the money, I would have expected better performance. I always have to use the highest setting to blend anything. It would have been okay with just an on/off switch. Smells hot if run it too long. Might return it if I have the time.

Bought this blender for mothers day since my mother was asking for one, found it on sale aswell cant beat that.

I thought the blender would look nice on the counter until I realized that the bottom of pitcher is made of cheap plastic (I purchased the blender online). The blender is the loudest I've had and it takes FOREVER to make a smoothie using frozen fruit. You have to add liquid or keep shaking the jar. It's going back ASAP!!
