Out of the box - its a very solid blender looks and feels expensive. What you would expect from an Oster blender. I used the blender to make smoothies and vegetable drinks. When I make my smoothies I use frozen fruit and mix with almond milk and protein powder. With this blender the smoothies are creamy and no chunks in the drink, therefore the blender pulverized every piece of fruit and made the drink very smooth and creamy. Vegetable drinks mixed with fresh fruit, kale and spinach. Amazed at how well this blender chops and breaks up the leafy greens. No need to purchase a separate juicer this blender will do it all. I plan on using it to make soups. Crushing ice was easy and quick when i wanted to make crushed ice for a desert I wanted to make that required crushed ice (Halo Halo). The ice was like shaved ice. Clean up was so easy, I used to disassemble my blenders to make sure its cleaned well but this one you add warm water and a drop or two of soap, blend and this will clean all the parts of the blender. Overall, if you are looking for a versatile, reasonably priced blender that is powerful and made of all metal parts this is a blender to look at and purchase. For outdoor summer parties you can purchase two. I highly recommend this blender for smoothies, juice drinks, iced coffee, etc...

I received the Oster® Pulverizing Power Blender with High Speed Motor a few days ago. As mentioned in a few previous reviews, this is not the super tech version with buttons upon buttons. It's a simple blender with all the options one would want in a blender. We (my wife is THE chef in this partnership) tried ice cubes, carrots, celery, ad infinitum in the blender, not knowing how ... or if ... it would handle test items. To keep in mind: you might find yourself using that button to the far right on the panel: PULSE when grinding up all the goodies into a smooth drink. The remaining buttons, such as BLEND, for example, add the finishing touches. The instructions accompanying the product are, like the unit, basic. As mentioned by past reviewers, PRACTICE makes perfect with this blender, and you will find it will do everything you want to do, with power to spare. OSTER is a famous name in kitchen appliances, and they produced a fine product in this Oster® Pulverizing Power Blender with High Speed Motor. Recommended? Certainly!

The Oster blender is a no frills push button controlled blender that has plenty of umph. Its operation is plain and simple and its push buttons are marked with their specific speed functions. The blender was put through the paces as I made smoothies, blended iced coffee and some puree tasks. It handled most of these tasks with ease, however when it came to some of the drier ingredients, I had to stop the blender and either push the ingredients lower down in the blender or remove the air lock which prevents the mixture from blending. This is a pretty common fault of most blenders and the Oster was no exception. There are other blenders on the market which have a certain blade design that prevent this from happening or they have a "pusher" which allows you to readjust the blender contents. What I found to be a bit of a pain is the cleaning of the push buttons, Since you can't immerse the blenders base in water, how do you thoroughly clean up messy spills which wind up all over and under the buttons? If you can figure that out, please let me know. Overall, the Oster blender is a decent product. The motor is very strong and easily handled the various tasks it was put through. I was very happy to see that the blender was accompanied with a generous 3 year warranty. My rating of this blender is 4 star as push button clean up was troublesome and blender air lock had to be addressed during drier ingredient blending sessions.

This blender is very slow and you have to blend stuff longer than usual for it to blend properly

This a good blender that just works and has several features for anyone who just wants a blender but not the hastle. It is not terribly small but not the smallest blender either. I would trust my teenager to use it but I am not sure I would want them to try to take it apart to clean it. It has a great design and does not feel cheap but packs a lot of features without a huge cost. It is a sturdy blender that is easy to clean and can make great smoothies. The engine is strong enough to handle ice and has a little measuring cap that can be used to measure our powders or vitamin mixes or flavor packets.

I used this blender maybe 2 or 3 times and it has stopped working. I can’t return the product because the return window has closed. Invest in a great quality blender. This blender is weak and has poor quality parts.

I don't recommend this blender. It is really hard to place the cup on the correct way. I have to wiggle it until I'm able to turn it on to prevent it from falling over.

A great and powerful blender that will definitively have a space in my kitchen. I was aiming for a blender that could deal with smoothies that include ice crushed. Power in the motor and a glass jar were my two basic requirements. Topped with a decent price, the Oster model has it all. With a capacity of 6 cups, the blender has enough capacity for serving more than four people. The jar cap fits perfectly and keeps the liquids inside, even at the most powerful speeds. The blender has plenty of options with eight speeds. Until now the liquidity and the puree are the ones that I’ve been using the most for my fruit drinks and where the motor power was to the maximum. I think that in other more selective tasks, the pulse option is more evident to use to control the speed. I recognize that a certain learning curve could be neded, for instance for chopping vegetables without making them a puree, I will need more practice. One element that seems to be a limiting factor, if you plan to use it for soups. After some research on the manufacturer's web, I found that is not recommended for hot liquids. I like in general the blender aesthetic, but only one element to consider, probably a reason for the price. While the base simulates a metallic color, it’s made of plastic. Easy to clean and to dismount, I use my dishwasher most of the time. I am absolutely convinced of this product, all my concerns about the price and its quality are resolved. No brand will support a bad product with a three years guarantee.

We have used this blender for several important kitchen functions in the past several days, and have been impressed by its power and speed. It is easy to diassemble the the base so that the blades can be throughly cleaned. The Oster is attractive and functional, and the heavy glass jar is much appreciated. I would expect this blender to serve well beyond its generous three year satisfaction guarantee.

The Oster Pulverizing Power Blender is basic and simple, like the versions my parents used to have. However, basic and classic shouldn’t have negative connotations in this case. The six cup clear glass jar has enough capacity for making adult fancy drinks or smoothies of your choice. The powerful 800 watt motor rendered crushed ice in seconds along with just about anything else you threw in it. There are 8 speeds/settings including Stir, Mix, Chop, Blend, Liquify, Puree, and Pulse. I chose this blender for it’s all metal drive and three year warranty. While this is not my primary mixing device, it has found a home as a permanent fixture in my home bar and eases through the process of making my favorite frozen drinks. The unit is easily cleaned and seems durable. If you want a basic, quality-built blender this is it. Blend away!

This made me very happy. From the description, I was really hoping I'd have no issues with large pieces of ice left over and In don't. It works very well. We use it alot for smoothies. Sometimes we use frozen fruits and fresh vegetables and fruits or a combination of each along with ice. And our smoothies have come out really nice, smooth and slushie, just as we like it. Amazing that this blender works great even when using fresh kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, or celery in the smoothie. I found these veggies didn't blend smoothly with my other blender. So this is a nice treat for us. We also made homemade garlic hummus in this blender and it came out really good too with great consistency. No more using the food processor for hummus. If also looks nice on the counter. The buttons are clear and self explanatory. The glass and parts can go in dishwasher.

Loving my new Oster pulverizing power blender! Of course the 1st two things I had to make cause it childhood memories & my mom had always Oster was margaritas cause not every blender makes chops & blends good, the power of this blender using regular ice cubes from the ice tray crush them down effortlessly perfect margaritas, and the salsa samething perfect blend without turning it frothy like my other high end blender would. It’s has a little markings on the lid like a little cup to measure while blending, has a few setting, for liquify like soups, smoothies, blending, chopping, and always useful pulse, has a shatter proof 6 cup glass jar which I’ve always preferred the glass canister over the plastic ones. Couldn’t be happier! Now off to make my afternoon smoothie!

The glass piece does not attach well to the actual blender

There's not really much to say, to be honest. It's a good blender. Very practical, not unnecessarily smart like some other kitchen appliances I've seen, and it is... very, very unremarkably normal. Of course, seeing as that it's a blender, the fact that I'm struggling to find words to describe it is a good thing. I usually start my day by struggling to wake up while making a breakfast smoothie, so the fact that this blender is just a blender that quietly and unremarkably does it's job is refreshing. It's also easy to clean after making a good smoothie (unlike some other blenders out there that are actually kind of scary), and it has sturdy construction and feels like it could last years. It's not flashy to the point of gaudiness, and there aren't a ton of extra buttons for functions I don't really understand. It just works. What more could you want?

We had to replace our 20+ year-old blender so the Oster pulverizing blender was a great choice. The only blender we had growing up was an Oster. There are other newer, fancier blenders on the market but they are priced very high. We just wanted a solid blender with simple controls and a large container. We didn't want a bunch of extra things to store, we just wanted the base and the container. We were impressed with the power for this price range. We first tested it on some frozen margaritas. The ice pulverized quickly and we were one our way with the first batch. This has a simple design, intuitive control buttons and is a great value for the money.

Well made, glass and stainless steel blades. Great buy for the price paid.

I was very disappointed in this blender. Will not work at all for blending frozen things. Some of the buttons did nothing. Makes so much noise. Very disappointed

Has a little bit of burning smell. The speeds are described as chop and others but dosnet work as described but i didnt expect it to work. Overall decent but not great.
