Glass blue light is causing significant eye strain

This screen protector is good. I’ve had it a little over a week. Installation was a breeze. It comes with an install tool that allow precise placement of the screen protector on the phone. To me the major problem with screen protectors in the past was the installation. Fingerprints and bubbles were frustrating. You don’t have to touch the screen at all with this tool. There’s another included piece that allow you to squeeze out the bubbles. Otter box usually makes quality products and this one is no exception.

I have never really been a fan of glass screen protectors. I have always found them difficult to apply. The Otterbox Amplify is the exception. The magic secret-sauce in all of this is an extendable plastic alignment tool. Put your iPhone in the aligner, clean it, remove the protective layer and hook on the aligner and wow... first go alignment. There's the little plastic tab that helps get everything squared away (no pun intended) and so you don't get fingerprints on the glass as you fit it. I wish I could take a photo to show you all, but one phone and social distancing makes that a nice to have. I only took over one star because I wish it came with a little spray bottle of cleaning fluid. I find wipes are never enough. I don't have any thoughts on the blue light filter. There's no major difference in the way the iPhone 12 screen works and it's as responsive as if you didn't have a protector. Tips. Remove your iPhone from the case. It really does make a difference and will ensure you can have the proper height and alignment.

When I purchase a new phone, I usually have the Best Buy phone phone sales rep install a glass screen protector. With Covid, I had to figure it out on my own! I think Otterbox does a great job of explaining how to do it properly. I watched a couple of Otterbox videos and thought it was informative. I was able to install the screen with no issues. Since I have an iPhone 12 Pro, the screen size is large so I was concerned about how the glass would fit on the phone. It turns out that it fit perfectly. I don't even know the glass is on it. This is a great product to compliment my Otterbox case.

While the application of this screen protector is a bit convoluted, Otter has done everything it can to make it as easy as possible to apply this screen protector the right way, the first time, as long as you follow the instructions exactly. I definitely notice a bit of a blue tinge to my screen when the lighting is right, but otherwise this is a great screen protector that protects your eyes (blue light), your hands/face (antimicrobial) and your phone! Would definitely recommend getting this to protect your investment in the iPhone 12 Pro.

The Otter Box Amplify Glass for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro comes with a glass shield that was attached to the frame installation guide that goes over the phone. A small booklet, a sheet of paper that I did not look at, installation instructions`, and an accessory kit. The kit was well packaged, it kept everything from falling all of the place when emptying out the box.It had a cleaning cloth, a wet cloth, dust removal sticker and a sleek looking squeegee to remove the air bubbles. The kit really did feel sleek and quality. As per usual you clean the phone with the wet wipe which is super wet not the usual almost dry wet wipe. The cleaning cloth is just big enough to dry and the sticker is probably my most favorite sticker out of any kit. Its easy to use and really gets a wide area. All of the materials in the kit are quality, they definitely do not feel cheap. The alignment tool is adjustable to the phone size, not my favorite alignment tool for installation. I think that it is nice that it's adjustable but doest feel that snug around it. The phone has a wiggle room and kind omade the alignment of the glass a little difficult. It's marked for top and bottom for placement of the phone. Make sure not to pull the glass off of the alignment tool. It’s used as a guide to place the glass onto the phone, and should be pulled snug once over the phone. Once over the phone you pull the plastic tab off and use the squeegee to take out any air bubbles that appear. Overall the alignment of the glass is a little off from me on the top of the phone but fine on the bottom and around the sides. The glass itself feels smooth. The quality of it to the touch is super clear. I am concerned with it not really protecting around the whole screen. The brightness of the screen does not seem as intense as it was prior to not having it. However it does display a very noticeable blue hue around the screen whenever light hits it, especially when outside. The blue hue is very distracting when outside, not to happy about the display using the screen protector.

This is the top of the screen protector selection. While the price is also at or near the top, quality and clarity are well worth it. Installed by Geek Squad at the store, there are zero defects, no dust, bubbles or marks. There is a big deference between a top of the line tempered glass protector and the generic versions on line. That it is backed by the Otterbox warranty also inspires confidence. Phones are expensive. It makes sense to protect them well.

I was so surprised at how easy it was to install the protector with the provided handy phone holder/ screen alignment tool!! I can tell the blue filter helps with eye strain and you can’t tell it is there when screen is on. Very please with this one!!

Fair is being generous here. I'm generally an OtterBox fan. However I bought their Amplify Glass Blue Light Guard screen protector for my new iPhone 12 Pro Max and have to say I'm pretty disappointed. First, a fall from the seat of a chair to my kitchen tile floor and it was cracked (4 days after purchase). Second, this thing has an extremely noticeable and annoying blue tint to it while when used in direct sunlight. So much so that it makes it difficult to use my phone. Third, the plastic installation ring is a one size fits all sliding thing that makes it more difficult to install. After 2 tries I didn't even use the ring and just did it by hand with better results.

My iphone 12 Amplify screen saver contained a smallish air bubble to begin. However after 16 days that bubble covered about 45% of the bottom screen. It affected the pressure applied to keys and bottom up swiping on my phone till phone use became dysfunctional. Otterbox replaced the glass for additional $10 shipping plus tax. So be prepared to pay extra for your Amplify.

The screen protector cracked after 4 days. Brought it back to Best Buy and they gave me a Zagg for less money and with a warranty for the life of the phone. Disappointed with Otterbox. I have always bought their products but this product is not worth it.

Corner doesn't stick down - protector doesn't line up with holes for alignment tool. Do not buy this.
