However, I switched over from the defender because of the size. This only has dual layer protection compared to the Defender. How ever it feels better when holding. With the Defender I kept thinking it was going to slip out of my hand. However I feel like the plastic shell is made cheap compared to the defender. Defender had a nicer grip. The commuter fits better because its smaller. Just wish they would build it out of better quality material so I always doesn't slip when you place it on something. I settled for this because I feel there is nothing better out there yet.

We assure you, the cases are made of the same materials: a polycarbonate shell and synthetic rubber. There is just less material on the Commuter so that it has a sleeker style.
