Speaking of the warranty, we honestly try to keep it as simple as possible. All we ask for is some basic data (contact info, case style and what happened) and a $4.99 shipping and handling fee. Once we collect that we are happy to send out a brand new part or case.

Has major problem

However, if you need to use the charger adapter sold that allows you to use previous iPhone chargers, it will not fit into the bottom of the case and to use it, you have to take the phone out of the case, which is a pain.

The case I purchased proved otherwise as it cracked on the bottom left corner next to the headphone jack after a minor 2 foot fall from my hand. I only had the case for 1 month. I will not trust otterbox to protect my new iPhone 5S. I will no longer purchase from otterbox.

What happened to the normal plain one piece Otter

It is very nice looking case and fits perfectly, but doesn't hold up to a toddler and a wood floor.

I'm one that needs the protection of an Otterbox but learned to hate the bulk of the defender series. In addition, I much prefer having the hard plastic on the outside rather than the silicon and I also like the fact that there is no built-in screen protector. I guess I'll add that the hard plastic can be a bit slippery but it's no big deal. I think Otterboxes can be expensive but their protection and the soundness of mind that comes with having your phone in an Otterbox can't be beat.
