I have owned Otterbox cases in the past, and I love the protection that it offers. This particular case fits my iPhone 5s well, however the power and volume buttons are more resistant for this model. You have to press the buttons down more than normal. Great case, nonetheless.

I got this case for my iPhone 5s, last year on Mother's Day (May 2015). On Superbowl Sunday (2/7/16), my phone slipped out of my hand, bounced off the carpet and hit the metal heat register in my room. The bottom part (the hard part) of the case broke. This case is not supposed to break. But mine did. I had to replace this case, for another one. I now have an OtterBox Defender. Which is so much better than this case....and the outer shell is silicone and slip resistant. Don't buy this case (the OtterBox Commuter Case). Spend a bit more money, and get a case that is more rugged and will last longer. And won't actually break on you.

I like the case. It seems like it will provide good protection for my iPhone se. The installation was straight forward, although it took a little adjusting around the power button on top of the phone. There was NO screen protector in the package, although the description says that it would come with one. I would recommend this case, but be aware, mine did NOT include the screen protector.

Dropping phones happen. So having a protective case is a must. I have owned otter boxes is the past they have done a great job at protection from minor drops. i.e. from ear level height. There is on a plastic protective film so don't expect to save the screen if you drop it face forward on rocks/boulders. e.g. hiking. The body of the phone will be saved, just not the screen.

I was a little skeptical buying this case because it said for "new iPhone" not iPhone 5 but I was surprise it fit perfectly. It comes with free screen protector. The only thing I don't like about the case it is a little slick meaning there is not much grip but this is fine since I feel like the case is very protective. I would be fine if I drop it. Definitely the best case for iPhone 5 until the life proof comes out.

If you are looking for a case for an iPhone5 SE with Otter Box quality the commuter Series is a good choice. It is slimmer than the Otter Box Defender and provides good protection for the iPhone owner who does not need quite as much protection as the Defender Series. Recommend replacing the generic screen protector that comes with the case for a military grade style screen protector.

I bought this because it was a nice color and because it cost less than the Defender series ($10 less). It also appeared to be sleeker and I didn't think the Defender series looked sleek enough. I go ahead and buy this... I see there is a screen protector kit. It's like a sticker. You wipe down the iPhone with an antistatic cloth. You place the "sticker protector" on the phone. Now, this was the tricky part. It was hard to put it on perfectly. Kept trying again and again. The kit also comes with a tiny key fob type card (without the fob part) so you can push out air bubbles. Then, you take the top cover off of the screen cover. Then, you put the plastic case over the iPhone with the screen protector on it. When this was done, the screen protector was curled out of the bottom of the rubber cover. Tried putting this back in, but realized if it was this difficult to set up, it might get worse over time. I was disappointed. I returned this within the hour and paid $10 more to get the Defender series in blush/cream. (NOTE: I did find it on ebay for $27, so there are ways to get this cheaper. I just needed this now.) Also, I didn't like how the rubber openings around the cover edge weren't closing flush. Maybe this would be fine without the protective screen cover. What the Defender case had that this didn't was the screen protector was actually PART of the case... And, the Defender series case for the iPhone 5 was actually nicer than I expected it to be and sleeker than portrayed in photos.

This is my second Otter Box Commuter case. The first one was on a 3Gs. I love these cases. The provide protection without adding a great deal of bulk like the defender. I also like the fact that it doesn't affect the access to the touch screen.

Otterbox cases have saved my bacon more than once over the years. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I love my new case. This is my second one. It is nice looking bur protection is the key. I feel like the case provides excellent protection. The price is a bit high.

I love otter box. This one was a purchase for my work cell phone. The case was easy to assemble and has already been dropped twice. This is a great case. Don't forget to buy a hard plastic shield for the face of the phone. (Comes with one but you will need something stronger).

Really like having several choices for color and style. The case is very durable; unfortunately I have dropped it on several occasions and the case protected the phone and there was minimal damage to the case; just a nick

The case fits well and doesn't add too much bulk to the iPhone 5. It feels solid and I get the impression that the case would protect the phone from typical drops/bumps/falls despite not feeling like a kevlar brick. Bonus for having plugs to protect the headphone and charger ports. For ~$22 the build quality of the case fits the price. The surface of the case is a bit slippery. I haven't had issues handling it, but laying it on an inclined surface has caused it to fall off where I haven't had that issue with other cases before. Good thing it's durable! The button access could be better, specifically with the "sleep" button on the top of the phone. It just requires a little harder press, not rocket science or a severe inconvenience, but that could be improved. My biggest issue with the case (and any full back, i.e. non-bumper, case that doesn't include this feature) is why not include an extendable kickstand so mobile video watching is easier. Again, not a critical fault as when I'm using my phone to watch a baseball or hockey game I can usually find something to prop it up, but this seems like a no-brainer feature on any quality case.

This case has a great fit and medium to high level of protection , it's not as bulky as the defender series and fits well in my front pocket , I don't wear skinny jeans... Lol. There's a lot of cases out there and this phone is gorgeous so cover it with this attractive one. I didn't bother with the added screen protector it seems to rigid, I always buy zagg since its hard to scratch.

I just bought and iPhone 5s and the first thing I did was buy this case. Comes in great colors and fits very nicely. I can trust that if I drop my phone that it won't break. Slightly pricey but it's worth it especially if you break your phone with a cheaper case.

The case makes the small iPhone SE pretty bulky but its a very snug fit and seems to offer a lot of protection. The phone also doesn't seem to sit flush on its back, which causes a very loud noise when on vibrate. Kinda annoying when trying to be discrete at work.

Great fit while not too bulky. Prefer a different screen protector such as InvisibleShield.

I bought this case a few months after the iphone 5 was released and it has been my favorite case. I drop my phone a lot and my phone has not been scratched or cracked yet. This case has a hard outer layer and a soft inner layer. Amazing case!!
