    I bought this model because I wanted to protect my phone from drops. I have not experienced dropping the phone yet, but I'm comfortable that the Otterbox will protect it if I do. The only down side is that it is bulky and heavy. Also, the places where things are plugged into the phone (power chord, earphones, etc.) are floppy and make it difficult to plug things in or press buttons.
