I bought this exact case about 4 or 5 months ago. I had been wondering if the case was really that good, but I definitely didn't want to test it. Unfortunately I accidentally gave my self the opportunity. Today I have family come into town I set my phone on the bumper of my SUV trying to help them with their luggage and I forgot it there so we are going to the car rental place and the speed limit on out freeways is about 75 usually at this point i am going 70 minimum. Well apparently my phone had finally fell of the bumper at this point and bounced on the freeway. I thought someone had stole it I use the GPS in my phone to locate it and it says its near the freeway so we go to the spot. there it is..... the case is scratch and beat up ... you can tell it took a tumble... my phone is in PERFECT condition!! I am going to upgrade to the defender series because even though I don't work out doors where my phone is going to get hurt a lot you never know. The case is still usable just banged up and protected my brand new phone falling off the car going at least 70 miles per hour. * you can see what my case looks like after its tumble in the pic

I have owned several Otterboxes before and have been pleased with them. This Commuter Series case for my Galaxy S5 is by far the best case I've looked at and tried out. It's very nice looking and the back doesn't collect fingerprints or dust. It fits the phone perfectly with no gaps or loose edges. The Defender series adds too much bulk but the Commuter is perfect. The flap covering the 3.5mm headphone jack is unnecessary because the S5 is water resistant but other phones aren't so it's a great feature. All ports are easily accessible and the buttons work well. I frequently drop my phone because I drive with it in my lap and I never worry about it with this case. After trying other brands, I would recommend an Otterbox to anyone who wants great protection in a stylish package.

The otter box commuter was a perfect fit for my samsung s5. I was concerned it would add too much bulk but actually makes it more comfortable to hold. It also came with a nice screen protector that installed easily and slides nicely, unlike some others I have had.

I bought this OtterBox because my kids had purchased them in the past and they held up well. Online reviews are excellent, and these combined with my kids' experience with OtterBox phone cases made this choice easy. This is the Commuter series and it seems appropriate for most day-to-day applications and environments. If you subject your phone to especially harsh weather conditions or you regularly work outside, then the Defender series might be a more appropriate choice. If you're a typical commuter like me, then this case works fine. It's slim enough not to add bulk but offers good protection against mishaps and drops. I also opted to purchase a glass screen protector rather than use the plastic one that comes with this case.

As always, a quality product from the maker of the best protective phone cases on the market. Good color selection, light weight, and easy installation. Suggest using a tempered glass screen saver combo with case.

Otterbox is definitely one of my favorite phone cases. I have had several, and each proves they can take a beating. This one is no different. It fit snuggly on the Galaxy S5 and does not add too much bulk.

If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars for usefulness and durability, I would. I dropped my phone twice this week, and I am sure that had I not had the case, I would have needed a new phone both times! The case is slightly bulky around the slim Samsung Galaxy S5 but it is worth the extra bulk for the protection. The case does not interfere in any way with the functionality of the phone, and it still fits in my pocket easily. I am very impressed with the OtterBox case.

Case fits well, protects the phone, and comes with screen protector. What more can you ask. Thanks to the BB rep for installing the screen saver.

Great Case. Used to have the next higher level but it was too thick. This one is just right. Grooves on the side make it easy to grip and the smooth plastic make it slide in and out of a pocket easily. When putting on the screen protector, make absolutely certain you clean everything around you. Any dust causes a bubble.

This case consists of two pieces - an inner rubbery jacket that slips over the phone, covering the edges and backside; and an outer hard plastic shield that covers the back and portions of the edges but not the corners, leaving the rubber part exposed for impact absorption. The case is easy to install and remove when necessary. It is easy to grip. Openings for the various ports - charger, camera, heart monitor, finger swiper, speaker, etc - all work well. I dropped my phone once by accident directly on its screen face side onto an asphalt parking lot and the phone survived with no damage. Based upon that test, I am very happy with the protection afforded by my Otter Box Commuter.

The Galaxy S5 is a pretty big phone, and since my mom has already dropped it once, I got her a case. Since getting the case, the amount of times she's dropped it has been tripled. But the phone is still in brand new condition and perfectly working.

I have purchased this case with each upgrade. It protects my phone from accidental drops and keeps the screen protector keeps my screen working longer and looking better. I have dropped my phone several times since I purchased it back and may and it has protected each time. Well worth the purchase!

The sturdiness of the Otterbox provides good protection and covers the sides of the phone. I like the fact that the screen protectors were included in the package. The case is thick and will most likely outlast the phone.

My second otter box ,my first one protected my phone so well it still looked new after 2 years. The screen protecter that came with it was still in great shape after 2 years. I like the improvements on the new otter box and expect it to do a good job like the last one

I picked up this OtterBox before my Galaxy S5 was delivered. It adds a bit of bulk to the phone but covers and protects very well. It is very easy to take off if you need to remove the battery, but snaps back on easily.

I bought this case to go with my son's new Galaxy 5. It does a good job of protecting his phone and he says that it isn't too bulky. It comes with a screen cover, so I didn't have to buy an additional accessory.

This case provides great protection for my Samsung galaxy S5 without being too bulky. I am able to fit my phone in any of my pockets and not feel like it is sticking out or being bulky in my pocket.

This case was more than we were looking to spend but glad we did! Easy grip and doesn't slip out of your hands as some do. Slightly elevated to protect phone if dropped.

It's only a matter of time. No matter how careful you are, eventually you drop your phone. Best to have it protected, but neither do you want to carry a vault in your pocket. This case is a nice balance between protection and creating a bulky phone that you hate.
