Not as much protection

Only thing for screen was flimsy film that didn't stay on very well. And case was smooth and therefore slippery in my hand. Like my defender case much more.

We're sorry to see that your heart is longing for a different OtterBox case! This Commuter series comes with a self-adhering scratch protector, which occasionally can be a little tricky to place. If you're willing to give the application another go, we do typically cover the scratch protector under our warranty, and we would be glad to explore that option with you.
However, it sounds like you're not a fan of the pocket-friendly aesthetic of the Commuter shell, and your heart might be happier with another case entirely.
