They do a great job protecting both the corners of the phone and the screen because the case touches the ground first. They do add thickness and bulk but for me it's worth it over the inconvenience of replacing a damaged phone.

I dropped my device on a tile floor the second day I bought it, and not one scratch or crack appeared. The only downfall about this case is that the bottom edge gets in the way of pushing the back button on the phone.

Had my previous phone in an Otterbox before for 3 yrs and my phone looked brand new when taken out. Chose the Otterbox because of its durability and great phone protection against drops. Would recommend.

Still offers great protection but easier to stow my phone in smaller spaces. I also like the cover over the charging port.
