Commuter provides good protection for everyday use without being too bulky for pockets or inconvenient to use. My family's used these for years on 5 different phones and only ever cracked one corner of a screen with a severe blow, but even then the phone survived just fine otherwise.

This case fits my s7 perfectly, easy to put on and take off, also give you a better grip when using it plus gIves added protection very good construction, reason I mentioned the on and off part is you can't have the case on the phone if you use it in the vr gear headset very satisfied

Samsung Galaxy S owner. (Standard not Edge) I have been buying the OtterBox Commuter series cases for years now. They are Mid-Level cases from their lineup and have served me well for several phones. They're not too bulky, slide in/out of pockets easily, but still protect from drops. I have a muscle control disorder and I drop/toss my phone fairly often. Despite that, my old one lasted for 3yrs while I had that phone, and then another 1.5yrs when I gave that phone/case to my mother-in-law. The phone still looks brand new once I wipe away the lint and dust. They come in a bunch of colors, and their website has options to create your own color combo if the stores don't carry something you like. Unless you're a stuntman or do some terrible things to your phones, I don't think you need to buy the Defender series, since most Samsung phones have some degree of water protection.

Tough rugged overall good design and price was appropruate for the item

This cover barely changes the size of your phone yet provides great protection. I've dropped my phone several times and this cover has kept it safe and undamaged. All buttons still function perfectly with this case, and it's not big and bulky.

I have 3 Otterbox cases for my Samsung Galaxy S7. I must admit that one is not better than the next. I have the Defender series, Commuter series, and Strada. The only series I don't own is the Symmetry series. I use a case depending on the environment and situation that I am in. I use the Defender to protect my phone's touchscreen when working in rugged environments. I use the Commuter series when I want to have less bulk in my pocket as it is significantly smaller than Defender. I use Strada when I am shopping. The Strada has a credit card holder in the cover which allows quick access to my card. I always purchase an Otterbox at the same time I purchase a new phone. I highly recommend you to purchase an Otterbox to protect your phone. A damaged phone is a preventable tragedy. Otterbox also offers warranty for a damaged phone.

Bought for son as I'm a fan of otter box cases, solid protection (esp for a teenager) w/ a good warranty! I like the commuter case as it's a bit less bulky than the other OB cases. It is still large but no so large that he can't easily get it in/out of his pocket. Only downside and reason for 4 stars-charging port is hard to get to.

This case was easy to put on but makes my phone feel safe.

I had an Otterbox Commuter case for my Galaxy S4, and wanted the same for my new S7. This two-part case is easy to slip on, feels good in your hand, isn't too bulky, and fits better than a glove. Worth every penny. Excellent product.

As a first time owner of Otterbox products, it wasn't bad!! I liked the protection that this product provided, I just felt it was a little more on the bulky side for what I'm used to. This product did not come with screen protection like most otter boxes, but was pretty decent for the price. Definitely a great inexpensive product!!

This case fits me S7 well, helps me hold onto the phone better, makes me feel protected and that my phone is not so fragile. Good investment for my phone that was not cheap. This initial investment could save me $$$ later.

This product does a great job of protecting your device with a soft inner shell and hard outter shell. Fits well in the pocket and you can easily access charging port and audio port. No complaints on this product!
