So I do ck to make sure otter box doesn't have microphone blocked which it isn't but I'm wondering if it's still messing up my sound. I will try without case and I will update.

Audio issues with our cases are pretty rare, and we can imagine that it would be frustrating when no one can hear you during a phone call. Here at OtterBox, we don't believe that you should have to forfeit protection in order to successfully use your phone, and we apologize. There are protective seals over the speaker and receiver, but our Otter engineers designed them specifically so that you should still be able to have full device functionality. Sounds like your speaker seal may not be functioning as well as we want it to! Please give our awesome customer service representatives a call at 1-855-688-7269 and they can get you set up with a warranty replacement that will work better for you going forward!
