This model allows me to have a smaller signature vs the one above it that seems to provide total protection. If you some what care about your phone, the commuter is good. If you want total protection get the one above it

The case fits my phone very well and it's not too bulky. I've dropped my phone twice and so far it has survived without a scratch or chip.

Does the job. I have dropped my phone a few times and not cracks.

I love the sleek design of Otterbox Commuter cases. They protect against drops but aren't so thick that they work against the thin design of the phone.

My only complaint is the screen is not as durable as advertised. I was advised against getting a screen protector due to the ill fit with the curved edge. I dropped the phone about a month after getting it and the screen cracked. I had an S6 prior with a screen protector on it with no cracks after 2 years and numerous drops. Otherwise no complaints!

I don't prefer cases that are more bulky. This case is sleek enough to fit in your pocket while offering protection from normal wear/tear and drops.

I have dropped my phone so many times, and this case really protects all of it. Of course, it's bulky, but that's better than a broken phone.

This case is super tuff. A by bulky but it’s the safest as far as I can tell. This paired up with a good screen shield and your done.

Literally been buying Otterboxes for years for ALL of my phones. Most of them have a screen protector, this one did not but it did have raised edges to protect my Galaxy S8. I have accidentally dropped my phone several times and this has saved my phone's life! Recommend 100%. They can be on the pricier side, BUT really nothing compared to purchasing a brand new phone. I've had this phone for 2 years now with the same case and phone still looks brand new!

The case provides good protection. It is a little slippery

the case is great. it comes on and off easily and it has two layers of protection. I am confident that it will protect my phone for a long time.

Was concerned an Otterbox might be clunky for the S8, but was pleasantly surprised. The phone still feels nice and sleek in my hand, and the case has a good texture. It's also playing nice with my screen protector. My only negative would apply to most cases. The S8 has a gorgeous screen, and even with a screen protector, I want to keep it immaculate for VR. I'm likely to switch to a case like the Otterbox Strada that also closes over the screen, for maximum protection even in my pocket. But otherwise this is one of the best S8 cases out there.

Glad I got the Otterbox Commuter Series case for my galaxy s8, the case gives my phone plenty of protection and fits really great.

I have yet to drop my phone, which is good. The case provides a good grip and snaps on easily. I only wish it covered the front of the phone.

Awesome case. Not as bulky as the defender while giving essentially the same protection! Has a protected my s8 in quite a few drops.

Just purchased the Otterbox Commuter cover for my new Samsung Galaxy S8, having had one for years on my old phone. Perfect fit and covers the ports well. The only drawback is that it no longer includes a screen protector like the one for my previous phone had. Still pleased and will have to look for compatible screen protection.

The case fits my phone nicely. Provides good protection and allowed me to also have a screen protector on my phone too. I would recommend

We bought this for our son's phone as he is a Scout and camps a lot. It is very protective without adding a ton of "bulk" to the sleek S8.

We always use OtterBox but this case doesn't work well with a glass screen protector. The case fits good but the edges push on the glass screen protector we purchased for the phone and have caused it to keep popping off. Debating on returning this case and trying a different brand. Sad because we love OtterBox at our house.

This was the easiest otter box case to put on from all previous phones that I've had. Works great and not as bulky as previous models.
