Poorly designed. Avoid at retail price

OtterBox Commuter Series for iPhone 12 is a two-component case with a hard shell that snaps over a soft rubber sleeve. That’s supposed to envelope iPhone 12 in shock-resistant protection, which it probably does. I haven’t dropped my phone yet. But I have reseated the case on my phone at least five times since buying it just a month ago. The case appears to be poorly designed — the rubber sleeve pulls away from the device screen around the volume buttons, creating a gap. A soft plug in the case meant to protect the lightning port doesn’t sit flush with the case and gradually pops out of place during normal use. I don’t know who benefits from the exorbitant price on this case, but it’s not you, dear consumer. Steer clear and vote for better quality by not buying.

I am not easy on my phone and need something rugged but not bulky. This case has handled everything I need it for. This case has protected my phone from countless drops, of various heights and surfaces. This case defiantly checks all of my boxes. And best of all, OtterBox has a lifetime warranty! Anytime the case starts to crack or anything, they warranty it out! They have a simple and seamless process to replace a broken case. Highly recommend this case or another OtterBox product!

Higher hope for Otterbox
