The edges are not as wide and I don’t feel the camera has much protection. The case is also slippery and hard to hold. I think there must be better cases out there.

The Defender will have a raised bumper to help safeguard your screen and cameras. This particular OtterBox will also have a silicone slipcover on the outside, which you may find is easier to hold on to. It was great, until it wasn't

Then the rubber grips on the back of the case started to peel up. Attempted to go through otterbox to replace it, but hit some road blocks and it was just easier to find another case.

Ok case.. Slippery

Only problem I have is the back of the phone doesn’t have any grip to it. So if you pick up your phone a certain way it can easily slip out of your hand.

I went to the speck presidio2 instead and Im pretty sure you'd have a better feel of protection. This particular otterbox is built to protect your phone from quakes and what not but if you just wanna protect your phone from drops and human error, this aint it.
