They totally scammed us. The wireless charging does work but the max safe wireless charger will not magnet to this.

Posted .Our apologies for the confusion prior to purchase, but although the Commuter Series case will allow a charge to pass from the MagSafe charger through to the iPhone held within, it is correct that it does not have any internal magnets to help facilitate a "locking" connection with any MagSafe accessory.

Case is Hard plastic that slips on surfaces :(

It is more a hard plastic than the rubber type I had. Did not know until I used it a few days so no taking it back I bet. It is so slick the phone slides when placed on certain surfaces making it much easier to drop the phone. HATE it don't buy..

Sounds like the OtterBox you'd had before was probably our Defender Series, which has an outer synthetic rubber slipcover that would definitely provide more grip versus this streamlined model you've landed on. Doesn’t fit proper and very over priced

The case does not fit right at all. The top part above the notch is not covered, with this case. The sides are very loose on the case and flappy. Not giving you the security you want on a such a big bulky case. I wouldn’t trust dropping my phone in this.

I especially liked the fact that the charging port is covered. The problem with this case is that it doesn't last. First, the silicone layer gets loose. Piece of plastic above the charging port flap broke off, then the flap itself came off, then plastic on the bottom cracked. If you're ok with the case lasting a year, go ahead, otherwise, look elsewhere.
