This is a great case if you drop your phone a lot like I do! I like that it comes in a variety of colors and patterns. It is very easy to put on your phone and does not affect the usage of the phone at all.

I have dropped my phone on carpet from a few feet up. My have had a few other drops that I don't remember. I think this is probably about the most protective case there is for this price level. I've considered getting a Life-proof case but I've heard that the case for the Galaxy 4 greatly interferes with call quality. That said, I don't know if I could have made a better purchase. I do feel I need to be very careful around water but even if I had a water-proof case, I don't know that I'd be overconfident. With this case being bulky, it's not going to easily fit into phone carrying cases. I have started clipping my phone to my jacket pocket with the body of the phone inside the pocket. Not sure what adjustments I'll make when summertime comes around and I'm not wearing a jacket. It's something to consider because I don't want to LOSE my phone. Actually, I did lose it once on a subway car and was so grateful it was returned to me. I don't want to ever feel that panicked feeling again so I am still actively searching for the best way to carry the phone.

This case perfectly fits and protects my phone, and easily clips to my belt. I don't know why something like this doesn't come with every phone. Without it, you're asking for trouble.

This is a heavy duty phone protector. It seems to me that it is best for transport, and that you would have to take it out to use it, which is what the plan is. It was hard to open up the first time, but not after that.

Good solid case that will ensure that the phone is safe from all but the most severe drops. The rubber outer case makes the phone easy to grip but also difficult to slide in and out of a pocket if you like to carry your phone in your jeans pocket. I really wanted a Lifeproof case for the S4 but at the time I purchased it, they were not available. This is probably the next best thing. The screen protector that is built in is pretty poor quality and diminishes the resolution and color saturation of the beautiful display that Samsung has. It's easily removed and you can always install an invisishield or something similar. Good case for the money, I like that you can lock the phone into the belt case and still access all of the ports.

Hard to find but well worth it, even though I have an S6 Edge+, I still love my S4 and it needed total protection. Can't beat the Defender case, it provides total protection despite the many times I've dropped it, there is no damage to my phone.

This product offers the fantastic protection we have come to expect of all OtterBox items, and is wonderful for someone as clumsy as me. However, the light pink outershell picks up color and dirt from just about everywhere. It's impossible to keep clean, and I haven't found a product to remove the stains. I would totally recommend the box, but pick a different color!

Especially for those in the physical work industry like construction, oil field, electricians, mechanics etc. The included clip is great and also adds protection to the screen. Comes in many colors. The built in screen protector is great cause its adds even more protection to the already durable gorilla glass. Only thing I don't like is the dust accumulation that occurs under the screen protector. Even as big as it is it still fits great in my pocket.

I have used Otterbox cases for the last 14 years. I have had tried many others and ALWAYS depend on Otterbox in the end. I purchased a black one for myself and the Orchid for the wife.

I got this case mainly because it was on sale for $29. This normally costs upper of $49 +. The port covers had to be filed to keep from rubbing fingers raw while texting, browsing, etc. This case is also THICK! The included holster is flimsy and the belt clip breaks very easy. The plastic is cheap and brittle. I went to Wal-Mart and got a Body Glove case that is just as protective, fits WAY better, half the thickness (barely adds anything to the phone) and gives better protection in my opinion. I am a WELL versed Tech Nerd (Proudly proclaimed). When I got the body glove one, my 15 YO Son even liked it and wanted one for his phone!

This is by far the Very Best protective case you can buy. Well made, so far dust proof, the opening for head phones and charger plug are superbly build, to with stand many years of opening and closing without fear of them breaking off, and these doors seal tight. CASE includes a nice built in protective clear see through cover. Make sure you clean you phone and the clear protective cover off really well before assembly, no finger prints or dust trapped. This is just Quality throughout. Expensive but worth it !!!!!

good looking, have dropped it a few times and nothing has happened which is the main point. all the buttons work between teh case and phone so it's hard to notice it's there. wife says that it makes the phone too big but i like teh heftier size. more comfortable to hold.

Two years ago, my son wanted this camo cell phone case & had to settle for a black one. Now he finally gets to have the one that he originally wanted. The case is wonderful & keeps his phone safe from any damage.

This is my 2nd defender that I have had for my Samsung Galaxy S4. First one was only replaced due to the silicone skin started coming apart. Protected my phone when it was dropped from 4 feet to the ground onto concrete!

Decent protection and snug fit. I haven't dropped it.

Purchased my first Otter Box for my son's DROID Bionic and it looked brand new 2 years later. Incredible protection. The new ones are even better because of their less tacky feeling consistency. Best case on the market.

We bought this case to protect our Samsung S4 that already had a cracked screen. Seems to be an issue with these particular phones because of the thin frame and wide screen. The Otter Box definitely created a ridgid protected environment for the phone but the con for me is now my sleek, light weight phone with a highly responsive and visually attractive screen is now a bulky brick with plastic over the glass. Moisture can get between the plastic and glass and leave a oil slick like patch over part of the viewing surface. All that said if we had bought this case before the screen cracked then we would probably have an intact phone. In fact the phone has taken a couple of short hard trips to the ground with no additional damage.

Looked at this product at several other retailers and Bestbuy had the best price of anywhere. It is great for those who are users and abusers of their phones. Offers great protection without being overly bulky.

OtterBox Defender Series is, in my opinion, an absolute necessity for your cell phone. OtterBox stands by their product and has a great replacement warranty. All phones in my family have this product on them.
