Thanks for the feedback! Correct, we cannot guarantee that third party charging cables will be compatible with our cases. The lighting cable that came with your iPhone will not be an issue though. We do not recommend using a second screen protector in conjunction with the Defender because, as you stated, it may hinder the touch screen sensitivity. The Defender really shouldn’t impede the audio quality much, if at all. If you find that the sound is muffled consistently please give our friendly Otters a call at 1-855-688-7269, and we will be happy to troubleshoot and, if needed, get you set up with a warranty replacement.

I had previously used an Otter Box to protect my Windows phone against all elements (drops, water, etc.) for years so I knew the product had a great reputation. I've had the Defender for about a month now and am as impressed with it as my prior one. This one is even thinner and fits well in my pockets.
