My last Otterbox commuter case eventually broke the plastic casing around the rubber surround. The Best Buy employee recommended this case. It's much stronger. It it's much bulkier. The rubber is on the outside so it sometimes sticks to a tight pocket as I try to insert it. So it's a 5 for drop protection and a 1 for convenience. A 3 overall. If you want bulletproof protection, this is your case.
