It fell off into the road (concrete) and was run over by another vehicle. Upon retrieval the phone was perfect! The box had a few scratches but it was structurally intact! The only blemish I noticed was black tire treads on the back! That was amazing! It saved me hundreds of dollars! I am a Otterbox customer for life!

Drop protection would have been good as well, but I had to get rid of the case because too much dust from work was getting under the built in screen protector. From metal grinding dust, to saw dust etc, all started to collect in the case and in two spots it actually damaged the screen, luckily not in the viewing area. Working outside all day I need a water resistant, at a minimum, case as well. Its not. For a desk job it would have been ok, just not for me.

I have accidentally dropped it when carrying too many things at once while juggling my phone, but the phone remains intact and not shattered. The only complaint I have about this case is how impossible it is to keep clean! After a few days newly out of the box, the edges are already stained gray from my jeans and black coat. Looks dirty and the beautiful bright red when first opened has a disgusting gray ring around the edges and appears dull and ugly. Too bad. I guess you have to chose protection and function over beauty..

So I purchased this case, not from Best Buy but from Otterbox themselves. I Love the case, the grey protective case is a nice touch. The red isn't as bright as I thought it would be. But, It's perfect for me.

I've dropped my iPhone from the top of a B757 aircraft, watched it land directly on its face and thought "Well, that's done!" I picked the phone up and used it.
