My 10 year old, 5th grade son has had this case on his iPad Air2 for just over a month now. His iPad is required for school and it is heavily used -- he has no physical text books at school any longer. My son is not abusive of his iPad, but he has had a few typical oopses (drops/falls) and so far no issues. I think this is about as nice of a protective case as is in the market today.

The case fits great and all the buttons work well. Only trouble was figuring out how to open the case to put the iPad inside. No directions were in the box so had to look up a video on YouTube. Not a big deal. Case protects the iPad well, just not waterproof. Probably would be fine if water spills on it, but not if the iPad drops into the sink or something. Chances of that seem unlikely which is why I opted for this cheaper case than the lifeproof case.

Colors are perfect and it protects entire ipad including screen....also has a stand to make life easier.

Heavy, indestructible, just the thing when you're thinking that you really, really want to drop your iPad Air 2 down the stairs. I've seen things with a more exciting and lively bounce, but my iPad doesn't care and is alive and still very happy. So it its owner! The case is somewhat tedious to install, but not too serious. The case has a nice adjustable bracket that allows standing the iPad in portrait or landscape orientation with 2 different selectable tilt angles. That's a good thing because this box is heavy, dude, and you'll want to set it down. It's a 5-star protector, but its weight wouldn't let me raise my arm past the 4th. It's time to see transparent aluminum more widely used in your everyday tabletal protective units.

Of all the cases offered including Apples own cases, the OtterBox is by far the best case. It protects all around including the screen. You can charge your iPad, plug in headphones and it has a stand for viewing also. Don't waste time and money buying a different case that is inferior.

My son has Autism and needed an iPad for all of his therapies. Since his coordination is off I wanted to make sure the iPad would be well protected. Upon doing a lot of research I found that the OtterBox case is the best one available for the iPad Air 2 and I completely agree! It gives great protection without making it a lot heavier and the shell that goes over the screen when it isn't in use is a huge bonus! It's a must have!

Very sturdy and fits my iPad Air 2 perfectly. The color is actually a dark purple with a pink stripe, so don't be scared by the description "pink". The cover has a hinged support inside that you can use to prop the iPad either vertically or horizontally. Read some reviews that indicated a problem with touch sensitivity while using this case, but I didn't have that problem. Touch is very responsive.

The case offers very good protection for your iPad and the stand is a very good bonus. Be fore warned that getting the case installed on the iPad itself my lead you cussing yourself because how tight it is. Once you have it on it not going anywhere. It does add a little weight and bulk to the iPad and if you have small hands you may have difficulty handling it over long periods of time. Overall I am glad i made the investment

Legendary Otterbox protection. Exact layered fit includes screen protector. Yet to drop my IPad but I'm confident it's very safe in this Otterbox case. We have used cases from this manufacturer for several cellphones and other tablets in the family; we have yet to be disappointed. Great purchase (when on sale) and remarkable protection, in my opinion.

This is the best case I have found for an iPad and had it since the iPad Air; I've tried a couple different cases but one wasn't protective enough and the second had flaws with it's built display. Maybe it can come in different colors in stores besides black but it does hold up to it's name and quality. Maybe it can be a little cheaper but best for the price of it's kind.

I like the base/stand/screen protector which other cases do not have. However, the silicone protective cover falls away from the backing simply buy turning the case over. So much so that you can put your finger between the Apple Logo and the silicone cover. (see photo) Making it very easy for dust and dirt to get into the back of the case and work it's way to the front. My wife's iPad Air stays firmly attached to the back. Not sure if this is a design flaw or what. I checked out another at the store after I noticed this problem and it does it too. I love Otterbox and have used them on all my devices but this one is a MISS for me.

Yes they are bulky but I would rather have the protection provided by this than to have a thin folio cover and risk the damage from a drop or fumble. Surprisingly this doesn't add much to the tablet, granted the iPad has gotten thinner, thus the otterbox has followed suit. Love the color.

I love this otterbox for my iPad air2.It was a little hard at first to get it apart and on my iPad but once it was on it looked great.It fits the pad just like a glove.plus it has a little stand of sorts built in it,well the bottom part has a thing in it which pulls up (sort of) to make a stand.And it doesn't really add weight or bulk to your tablet either(well not much anyway) plus it's pretty much slip resistant making it a little harder to accidently drop.and another good thing is it has a built in screen protector.I would highly recommend this product to anyone and even buy another if I had to.both iPad and box are well worth their money and then some.I got both pad and box for Christmas and very happy with both.

Love the protection this product provides. I already dropped my iPad and the screen would have cracked, instead the protective screen has two small marks, whew! Love the two stand position the base offers, and base acts as protective cover when traveling. Only con is that the cut out for fingerprint ID is a bit restricted to access.

I did not know they made otter box for iPads. This is a great product and the price is reasonable. I am a little disappointed that the stand does not sit up higher, but it does not take away on how great and durable it is. I just wish it would come in more colors.

Since I use my iPad Air 2 to take stats and to video players, the protection the defender gives is necessary. I like the screen protector and the toughness, especially on the corners. The one feature I would like to see is the ability to take pictures and video with the cover of case snapped on the back.

I love this case! It does the job it is supposed to do. It is a pretty color and I get a lot of compliments on it! This case has kept my new iPad safe for which I am very thankful because I bought the 64 GB and want to protect my investment.

I bought this case for my cell phone and knew the good quality -- it's worth the money. There is a built in screen protector so you don't need to worry about putting the sticker one on and messing it up. Easy to wipe down to clean.
