Cannot over estimate the value of a good case. This is for my son's second iPad. He has dropped and thrown his first iPad many times and his OtterBox protected the device from any damage. The OtterBox is best to shreds but still protects the device. Can't wait for Christmas to give him his new iPad and OtterBox.

Great IPad case for kids you can drop it on the floor and nothing happens to it. The case has a stand to place your iPad when watching videos. It also has a spot for your Apple Pencil.

Big otter box fan. Like the defender series cuz of extra screen protection. Top case cover also doubles as a stand for video viewing. Then it just snaps over to protect screen for travel. Nice

This case is good for someone like me who drops their stuff a lot. The touch screen is a little touchy in some spots though. Other than that it's a really good case.

Only complaint on this is that it only comes in black. My old defender case came in blue and my wife's came in a grey color. Otherwise, the defender case is the best

You really can’t go wrong with an OtterBox when it comes to protection. My only criticism is I wish I had more color options than black. Other than that...excellent and versatile case.

When making expensive equipment purchases you need to protect your investment and I am satisfied with the otterbox protection quality and have been a fan for years.

I’ve used The Defender cases before and it doesn’t get any more rugged than this. This case will withstand a fall from several feet onto pavement, several times over and device inside good as new. It does add a lot of bulk though. It also can be difficult to use if water gets up under the screen protector; and don’t expect to take the case off frequently, as it is rather difficult to do so. If you can live with these negatives then this case is well worth the cost, as nothing will protect better in my experience.

We love otter box products. The case itself is thin and sturdy and doesn’t add bulk. The cover/stand is a perfect addition for extra protection while traveling or for viewing videos and such.

The case works as promised but is pricey. I am confident it will minimize or prevent damage if I ever drop the iPad. The screen protector is great and does not interfere with the touch pad.

I love this otter box for my iPad except the screen protector attached to the case. I removed it before installing on my iPad. I prefer a glass screen protector.

This case is a Fort Knox for my iPad. I am constantly on the go and it is always safe inside this heavy duty case. Easy to assemble and all the navigation and ports are easily accessible

I’ve got a couple of kids who love to randomly drop things. This includes iPads. These cases although bulky at first, actually are the perfect size to handle the iPad and still have full function of it. The edges are reinforced with a metal case and then a thick rubber coating circles it providing shock and drop protection. Highly recommended. Only knock is that it doesn’t make it waterproof/splash proof. Still need to get a different case to achieve that.

The otter box weighs more than the others, but is worth the extra weight. With a house full of kids the goal is protecting the iPad. I don’t worry about the iPad anymore.

It's a perfect fit for my iPad and the casing is very sturdy. I doubt it would ever crack. Otter box is a terrific product to protect your valuable items.

Color choice is limited and the included stand does not let you change viewing angle or allow vertical placement, but it has a built-in screen protector which is very desirable. Unfortunately, the screen does not hide fingerprints, but cleans up easily with a microfiber cloth. The best case option when you dont care about atyle and are looking for maximum iPad drop/scratch protection.

I always purchase otter boxes for my iphones, so naturally I would for my ipad. Fits great and already has helped when my 5 year old has dropped his ipad. Never skips a beat!

Well worth the purchase for the cover alone. Dual layer protection with quality components. However, the attached screen protector is just OK. It’s nice to have something there for your screen, but in regards to visibility, it’s mediocre. Since it’s attached to the case and not clung to the screen itself it can be distracting. It's noticeable when you look for it or use a stylus. Not a fan of the separate lid/stand thing so I stored it away. To keep the screen protected from slipping in and out of my backpack I sorted a simple fix.

This my second defender. This one is lighter and seemly just as durable. I really like it. The fit is tight and fairly easy to take off put back on.

This saved my iPad from numerous drops. If you’re never going to drop your iPad then this might not be for you. I love the built in stand.
