Not only does it come with a built in screen protector but protects it from falls. Very useful for a child with Autism who has multiple meltdowns

This is my favorite case, I pick it up for every new iPad. Otterbox really has it figured out with this one. Seals up tight, drop proof and nice stand.

I LIKE THE FACT THAT THE DEFENDER IS GOOD FOR SEVERAL USES. IT PROTECTS COMPLETELY CLOSED OR OPEN AND SERVERS AS A MULTI POSITION STAND.

The case is a little bulky but it does the job of protection exceptionally well. I really like the little stand on the lid to hold up the iPad.

We have used the Otterbox defenders for many years. The case is heavy and bulky but really protects the iPad from the wear and tear of little kids!

I’ve found these cases are the best for our iPads and iPhones. They fit well and offer great protection if you accidentally drop them.

I like how it covers the Ipad completely. However I do not love the two sides cover since it makes it more difficult to use.

Only reason I gave this nice otter box case 4 stars is it is a little heavy. Other than that it would be a 10. Recommend it!

I have had otterbox iPhone cases and they are amazingly durable, especially when dropped. So I only wanted the same protection for our iPads, I’m not thrilled that all they offer is black, but I had no other color choice. I replaced our 8 y/o’s iPad case from griffin to otterbox because I knew how well it protects my dropping accidentally iPhones, and the amazing protection. Our other 2 high quality cases literally broke apart under her usage, so I’m hoping this protects as well as my iPhone cases have been extremely worthy. My go to brand for all Apple products!

Great case, however I chose to remove the built in film screen protector and use a tempered glass screen protector instead.

Fits the iPad very well and provides excellent protection. The only negative is that the built in screen protector can scratch easily.

Love it! Solid plastic ottterbox with screen protector. Top case works as a stand then works as a travel case over front cover when done. Nice!

What can I say other then otterbox is the best. The case is a little bulky but Its worth having the protection. Smart choice for an iPad.

I love otterbox cases. I've had them on nearly every mobile device I've had at one point or another. Some clarifications: This will NOT make your ipad water resistant. Don't get it wet. It also isn't meant to withstand intense damage. Not gonna protect it if you drop it from 30 feet or run it over with your car. But if you want a reasonably priced case that keeps your ipad safe during normal use, I'd recommend this one.

I have purchased multiple otter boxes and all work great and keep my Apple products protected. This one is the only one that sticks a little when you try to take the ipad piece from the cover and cover it. We work around it but I don't think this model was designed as well as the other Otterbox for Apple generations were.
