I have always buy an Otterbox Defender for all my portable technology devices. This one replaced my son's 3 year old Defender case. His iPad has been dropped numerous times on various surfaces. The case showed wear yet, still protected. Never have I had to repair a cracked screen or anything else when I purchase a Defender Series case for any of my devices.

This thing is awesome. I've bought several of them to make sure my iPad does not fall prey to my toddler's tendencies. Note that this will make the iPad much, much heavier, but it is SOLID. I've had a hard drive drop onto tile floor on a corner and...nothing. The case absorbed the drop and the iPad was fine. (so was the case!)

This case is great for protecting your iPad, especially if you have little kids. The only bad thing is that it adds considerable weight to it. It would be great if it came in more colors like the ones for the mini.

Purchased this to protect young kids' Ipad Christmas gift . We have an Ipad Mini with one of these and its lasted and protected it really well. It made the decision a no brainer when looking for a case for this new Ipad. It's been on it for a only a little while but expect it to hold true to the Otterbox name for quality and Ipad protection from the many kids drops and beatdowns.

I bought the newest iPad and wanted to get a good case for it, I’ve had an OtterBox case on a previous phone before and I have not had problems with it. So I decided to get one for the iPad and so far it’s doing what it’s supposed to do and I don’t mind if it’s bulky because some people do. Also take advantage of a offer you see for this case, if not it will be pricey.

I own a coworking space in Grant Park which has private events including karaoke. I loaded the karaoke software up on our ipads which means people renting our karaoke rooms would be using them not just employees and members of the cowork space. About 60-70 people use it a night who are drinking and jumping around and I never worry about it :) I like the extra cover too.
