I've seen the same happen to a few people. It was really disappointing especially for the price. This one, however, is amazing! The rubber is much more durable. I love it! Just wish they would start offering more design/color options. My mom wants a red case for her Galaxy and I will only buy Otterbox, but that's hard to do when there's no red.
