The case was great but I was charged shipping and it was supposed to be FREE!!!! I will not purchase anything from Best Buy again only Amazon...............

Not a great product. Otterbox used to be great. The rubber shell did not fit and snap in place. Both the corners and the bottom of the home button.

I loved this initially but right away it got way too dirty. I paid a lot of money for this and I don't like things you aren't able to clean. Waste of money.

I have had previous iPhone otter box cases and this one is much improved over the previous versions, it's seems less bulky and has a better soft plastic type feel, good If you actually wear the phone on your belt. It offers good protection for the phone and the clip roatates. It is somewhat hard to clip the phone in securely and it is wearing a bit where the case comes into contact with the outer edge but the case seems to be a good fit for the iPhone 5. Also the case is fairly thick so I had to buy a new audio jack that was more slender so it could fit through with the case on. I like it way better than previous version I had with iPhone 4 , that one was thick bulky and made of a hard rigid plastic and a outer silicone layer.

This cover would not allow calls to be heard when it was on. Had to take it back and get a different kind of cover.

Had this for a month and the rubber broke on it already. Probably a defect because otter boxes just don't usually do that.

This item is scratched. T The case fits but what a disappointment that the clear cover is scratched. Stephen Juber

I just bought this case today after buying the commuter case and getting totally frustrated. The commuter case comes with a screen protector kit where you wipe off your screen, then you put this sticker like protector on and then use a card to get out all the air bubbles. Sound good? Well, that was a real nightmare as it was hard to put the screen on correctly, it kept getting dusty, and it was really hard to get the cover on afterwards. So, I returned this and got the Defender series. I really just wanted something simple but got worried that the iPhone wouldn't be protected against falls (I have kids, and I have dropped phones before). The price is steep (though I've seen this listed for cheaper on eBay) but to me this was a pretty good investment. I plan to keep the phone a long time and I do let my kids use the phone to play games. What I like: I like that the screen protector is PART of the hard shell case. Those stick on protectors are a PAIN. I like that it really isn't so bulky. My husband has the Otter Box for an iPhone 4 and it is bulky and ugly. This one actually looks sleeker. The cream/blush is really pretty. I have a black iPhone (but I don't see how the phone color makes a difference when it is totally covered by the case). The hard shell is cream colored and the blush is for the rubber covering. The rubber covering has cut outs for all main openings. These close nicely. So, I feel like I not only got a real safe case, but I didn't compromise on attractiveness. This actually looks cool. What I don't like: I wish it weren't so expensive. There are so many cheap cases out there. However, you get what you pay for and OtterBox does have a cheaper covering which while being $10 less and without a holster (which I don't use) seems like it is in a different class. (Interesting note: The sales guy told me to get the OtterBox commuter because I didn't want to use a holster cover. I returned it anyway and just will not use the holster cover for the Defender one I did end up with at the end of today's shopping experience.) I've yet to see how difficult it may be to clean. However, if this is like the iPad case (which is also quite difficult to open once it is shut), there is a way to gently open it by using a pocket knife to gently push open each closing point (there are about 4, two on each side near the corners). Once you figure that out, it's really not difficult to open. And, its good that it isn't easy to open because you wouldn't want young kids to try to get it out... Hope this helps...

The rubber outside was cheaply made. I have had to replace it after 3 months already.

Don't bother buying if you also place a shield on the glass. The case causes the shield to Separate from the glass
